I've never drawn a guy like this, so I'm really going out of my comfort zone here, but I couldn't help it after watching so much Fairy Tail (Grey! :3). I know the shading's a bit messed up, and I think the legs are too short...

Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.
Ouu I really like this! It's amazing I really like the way you drew him and to me the shading looks really good! I personally didn't think that the legs looked too short, but I guess they could be a little longer, just depends on how you want it to look. I also thought that the feet looked kind of stubby. It is in a cute kind of way though, so it's not a big deal. My only real suggestion is that you fix the piece of hair infront of his closed eye. It looks kind of funny. Maybe just shade it in a bit darker. Overall, loved the drawing! You are really talented.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D
This wasn't bad for a first attempt! The proportions don't seem to be too bad, but I think you're right, to get the anime feel you might have to lengthen his legs a bit. The only thing that I didn't like was the side of his face covered by hair, the eye behind it is a bit iffy. But other than that its a nice solid first attempt, good luck as you continue =]
Okay, overall, this way great for a first attempt. You have most of the proportions correct. For anime guys, they usually have enormously long legs, to the point where they almost look lanky, so I think you may be right about the legs, they do seem a little short, but not a lot and it's not really that noticeable. One thing that WAS noticeable for me, was the arm at his side. It just looks too short, and it was kind of bugging me. Arms should reach maybe two or three inches above the knee, and your elbow should be at the same level as the hip.
I think a way to avoid the arm malfunction in the future, is to look at your own arm, either in a mirror or just looking at your side, and see where the noticeable parts rest, like the elbow, and the wrist as well as the tips of the fingers.
Another thing that didn't seem right, was the little curves in the middle of his stomach. I know those are where his abs are, and you were trying to show them, but the way you did it just seems a little awkward. Almost like someone took something with a serrated edge and sliced him O.e but unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to fix that.....
But anyway, besides those two things, this was definitely a great first try XDD

Hello Daisuki, This is amazing don't be so modest! You are such an amazing artist and nothing in the picture is bad. I think the colours could be a bit brighter though, they are very pale and light, which can be good but usually anime or manga is very bright and colourful. Despite that though this was really amazing. I especially liked the face and the hair. They were very realistic, tidy and neat. Overall this was really good and I am jealous of your amazing artistic talent and I admire your great anime style art. Keep drawing you are very good. From CuteJackRussell
Hello, I doubt you will take the time to look at this signature, you are all busy people and I respect that, but if you do know this. Every bit of criticism on my writing has helped and every bit of advice you have given me has also helped. So thank you, for everything. From CuteJackRussell xoxox
Hey Suki! I definitely recognize your style by now Great job! I really didn't think the legs were too stubby. He looks short, but not in a bad way. I actually like it because he's different than all the other lanky, skinny anime dudes out there. This one looks more real. I was gonna way I love his outfit, but he's only got half of it on, lol x) Anyways, I love the shoes, they're really cool, and the belt thing looks great as well. So onto the anatomy, which is what you were trying out, I'm pretty sure. The arms and shoulders look good, they seem broad enough to me. The neck and collarbone are good (maybe the collarbone could be placed a tad lower, but maybe that's just me). The parts that don't look perfect to me are his chest and abs. For his chest, it looks like you tried to figure out where do start drawing, and then just gave up and decided to draw a few quick lines. It just seems flat, and more shading and lines would help define his shape. The same goes for his abs. I mean, it looked like you were scared to draw them xD So yeah, more shading and work on that area would really help define him. Oh, and I totally noticed how you hid his hands. You little sneak, you xD I know because I do the same thing, lol. So I really have no room to talk. Just pointing it out x)
Overall, awesome!!! I'm so glad I saw this. You better keep drawing. Or else. ~blacksheep
