He was wearing a pure white suit without a tie. He looked casual enough, but couldn’t completely hide the look of a true leader, He possessed. He knew everyone got intimidated by his complete professional look, for He tried to play it down a lot. It was a part of who He was and we loved him anyway. He was the most kind and sweet soul, but he had an anger of his own too.
“I’m fine thank you and yes I was asking for you. I have a new mission for you...there is this girl, Alia Bose and I need you to take care of her,” He replied with a sad edge to His voice.
“Take care of her?!” I repeated the question in confusion.
“Yes, I know this is unusual, but that’s just how it is...”Mr. G did not finish the sentence, he just let it hang there and it wasn’t like him to just leave something. Mr. G is the most confident person; well, he is not a human. He’s the purest soul.
He gets sad sometimes, but this was different. I couldn’t even begin to describe the expression that crossed his face. It was like He had aged a hundred years in just a minute. The environs changed according to his moods and at that point of time every angel on cloud nine, including me, had sensed the change in the atmosphere. The sky changed its color from bright blue to grey, the flowers resting in the pots, at the open window in Mr. G’s office withered. The bright sun shinning through the polished glass roof started setting and I could see the moon hanging in the far horizon ready to take its place. It happened so fast, I saw a whole day pass in just a minute and again everything was different. The sky again shined blue, but not as bright. The grey clouds hovering above vanished and the sun again came up replacing the moon. The flowers looked as they had bloomed again in a time that seemed like days rather than a single minute.
Mr. G came back to normal, but still I could see a gray cloud floating just above him.
“So...um, this Alia, she’s in trouble or something,” I had no idea what to say. This was first time I’d seen him in this kind of mood firsthand. I had heard about it before but never experienced it myself. I knew that Mr. G was very sensitive and in some rare cases he has lost his cool mood, shown us his real emotions. I did feel intimidated by Him, even after his casual display of behavior.
Maybe, I should just stay quiet for a minute, until He’s back at least. He’ll explain further whenever he likes. Or, I could leave him alone... and obviously He heard me as soon as the thought crossed my mind. Just when I was about to leave, He asked me sit.
“Again, I’ll start from the beginning. Human’s name is Alia Bose, she is an Indian girl. She is 20 years old and had a brother. His name was Sameer Bose and he was 23 when he died. Alia has her father, Satish Bose, but her mother, Rida Bose, died in a car accident fifteen years ago, in India. Her brother died in an accident too, but in California. You’ll get a glimpse of it when you meet her. She is studying in New York at Columbia University. She lives in Manhattan with her roommates and best friends Michelle O'Connell and Alexis Peters. This is just the background of her life, which will help you connect to her better,” he finished giving me information about the human I had to take care of and took a deep breadth.
He closed his eyes for a minute and started again. He turned around and started shifting some images with his hands that were hanging there; he lifted an image from the very back and placed it in front of me. “This is Alia,” he touched the image and I could see the live picture of her, she was talking to a bald, elderly man. They were talking about some paper she hadn’t submitted. The man looked annoyed at Alia. Alia looked plenty annoyed at the professor too.
Alia was looking at the professor with anger in her eyes and a paper in her hand. I stood up and walked towards the picture. I zoomed in on the paper in her hand and turned it in clear view. Mr. G saw what I was doing and left his office to let me look at it myself.
Alia Bose,

So, this was the reason she was so agitated. The professor had taken submission thing a little too sternly.
“Why didn’t you ask the Principal to add every thing in the letter then, uh?” I heard Alia’s voice and quickly took out the live picture back in. She looked furiously at the man with a stare clearly saying, ‘Speak the hell up’. The speed at which the professor started replying back, I was sure the words got through in bold letters. He looked a little afraid now, his forehead started creasing and I could see the small beads of sweat rolling down.
“I don’t think I need to answer you about anything, just get out... ah yes, and be sure to submit your paper on time,” he was speaking in a stern voice which started shaking halfway through. Alia gave the man a last livid stare and walked out of the classroom, stomping her feet loudly in the hallway.
I didn’t understand the jibe about other things but I would know after I read her mind.
We could read thoughts too, but only when we were on missions. This helped us to understand the human better.
