So, since I got my tablet, my main mode of procrastination is to doodle on artrage. I thought I would share some of the better ones that came out- by no means are they fantastic works of art, but I got some fun out of them =P

I was thinking about medusa, and I decided that maybe she was lonely. This picture has her after she got rid of her... social affliction.

I don't know what this is about. I think she's keeping secrets.

This is a knife I was doodling in class once, that I transferred to computer.

Hey Nutty!
I'm Allie, and I'll be your reviewer today!

Picture One (Medusa)
Alright. There are three main things I noticed about this picture. The first is that the face looks just a little too wide. This can normally be fixed by closing the hair (or snakes) around her face a little more.
The next thing I noticed is that the snakes in the front are amazing, but as we move to the back of the head, it looks like hair. I'm not sure if you meant for that to occur, but I remember reading that Medusa's head was *all* snakes.
The last is the blood on the eyes. Normally, eyes are more of an oval shape. With this picture, you colored the blood in more circular shapes, rather than having the blood closer to an almond shape.

Picture Two (Secret Girl)
The only issue I had with this was the shoulders. I know that it's just the puff of the sleeves, but something about the lines makes me think they're her shoulders! Other than that, excellent!

Picture Three (Knife)
No problem here! It's simple yet beautiful!

Picture Four (The Hand)
The only thing I noticed was that the hand looks just a little chubby. But It could TOTALLY be a baby hand! Cuz they're little dough boys... Anyway, who am I to judge. I could never do a hand that well.

Picture Five (Cartoon Lady)
The one thing I see here is that she has no nostrils. Other than that, this is very nice! I love the colors of the hood (:

Picture Six (Zombie)
Wow... That's pretty scary looking. I don't really have anything to say about this one... Bravo!

I really enjoyed looking at these!
I look forward to seeing more from you!

Hi Nutty! I'm here to review this piece(s) of work of you. ^^

So, I see you're experimenting with your tablet, that's really awesome. I remember when I got mine and I just doodled on photoshop all day long. It was great for practice and getting used to. At first, using a tablet might be a little weird but you get used it after a while. Oh by the way, if you don't have photoshop you can try using GIMP, it's free and it's quite a good program for photo manipulation and such and such. Give it try and check it out. ^__^

Okay, so back to the art itself. I guess I'll review by each picture separately.

Medusa

I actually like this one the best out of all of them. It feels like it was given a lot of thought and feeling for some reason and although it's a bit simple, it does it's job by speaking. The covering her eyes bit was pretty creative, I liked that. As far as the snakes go, I'm glad you gave them a bit of dimension by providing a shine. Some of the shading is a bit sloppy and can be seen so you might want to fix that up, make them more smooth and round, - the snakes. As far as the shading goes on the face, it looks like everything is in it's right place. It's simple shading so there wasn't really much you could do unless you decided to add more color and realism to the face. One thing that I do have to say about her face though is the nose, it seems to be a little too small for her face. Other than that, it's a good picture. ^^

Keeping Secrets

I like this one too, mostly because it seems like you were just drawing whatever you were feeling. There's not real direction it's taking but it probably means something to you. Sometimes I draw things on paper and they don't look so great but I add little details here and there and it turns out to be something...but it's whatever. I can't exactly explain it, lol. Anyway! Back to the picture, the thing that pops out the most to me on here is the anatomy of this girl. Her head is quite large. I've seen many people draw like this, they make the head too bid and the body too small and if you look closely at her, her head is just as wide as her hips. :c Other than that, there's really nothing much. Except I'm wondering why she's looking up...she looks like she's going to do something bad. xD

Knife

A knife is a knife. A knife with a rose is a knife with a rose. There's really nothing I can say about this picture. It's just a picture of a knife, really. If you were concentrating on the rose, maybe there should be something about it that makes it jump off the paper. Maybe a lighter color or something. Anyway, the only real pointer I can give you here is to look at the blade. The black outline is too thick. Since you're using a white background the outline should be thin. If there was another background color, I would suggest no using any outline at all. Depends on the color of the background though. Well, it's a cool knife. Looks like something that would be in a fantasy novel, lolol ^^

Hand

Here, the background really stands out to me for some reason. Is the hand on the ground, like some sort of stone ground? It looks like a hand of a dead person or someone who just fell down and died, lol. Anyway, For the background to be so dark and the the hand to be so light makes this picture look a little bit awkward. But the hand itself is draw pretty well. Drawing hands, oh God, it gives me such a headache! >.< I've studied the anatomy of hands plenty of times and tried to form some sort of easy outline that I could use for making a hand by memory from any angle but it's still giving me troubles. It's a good thing I have a reference everywhere I go. *Points to own hand* :3

Cartoony lady in hood

Reviewing anything cartoony is hard. It's a cartoon so it break the laws of the norm. Anyway, I don't have much that I can still address on this one. First, the shading 'inside' the hood should be darker to give more depth. Right now it looks a bit flat to me. The shading around the face of the woman should be a bit darker and show more. Um, this picture remind me of Naruto... XD It's simple so there's not really much more I can say.

Zombie

Sweet. I like how you made his skin so blue-green. lol Even with the fact that his hand is ripped off he looks kind of ... 'almost' happy for some reason. Ahaha. I'm enjoying his odd color of hair though. Maybe he just went to Walmart and decided to dye his hair. But...they don't sell blue hair dye there do they? I wouldn't know, I never dye my hair. Anyway, since this is also a bit cartoony, there's really not much I can say about this one either. lol

Overall, all these pictures are great. Also, it looks like you had a lot of fun drawing them too. xD
Keep up the great work and if you have any questions, feel free to scribble on my wall. ^^
