The bus stop was the only place where I was tempted to look back. I was terrified and almost didnt continue. Would Mom and Fajah be ok without me and Celli? Would they look for me? I hoped they woulden't then boarded the bus, it was empty, accept for the driver, and made me feel lonlier, I pulled my ipod out of my jeans which were rolled at the cuff, and belted with the leather braided belt Cellia had made me at camp. I put the buds in my ears but didn't press play, I was distracted by the thought of that day, Hide and seek, Tires, the smell of the hospital room and blood on my clothes. I sat there, staring and thinking , I didn't even notice that the bus had stopped and someone else had gotten on.

I knew I could count on you, that's why I waited a bit longer P.S everyone, don't forget to put your charries name at the top of your post please!
Blue:
Quietly, sitting on the bench waiting for the bus to arrive, I looked down at my feet intensely, so not to make eye contact with anyone. My shoulder length hair hung in my face, creating a barrier. My beat up shoes were wrapped up in duck tape, which made me laugh at myself. For me, duck tape seriously fixes everything. Not even kidding.
With a sigh, I pushed myself away from the backrest of the bench, the wood setting my fresh belt wounds on a frenzy. A woman walked by, slowing down as she neared me. Uncomfortable, but full of pride, I shifted in my seat, pushed my hair from my face, and stared her down. She quickly averted her eyes and hurried along.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I thought to myself.
Stretching my arms, carefully so not to hurt my back any more, I wondered if mother would be alright without me there to keep her in the house. But remembering what she did to me not ten minutes ago made me quickly forget about her, not caring what happened to her.
The sound of a screeching door caught my attention, and I looked up from my feet to see the bus driver staring down at me, waiting impatiently for me to get on. Quckly, I grabbed my beat up, duck taped up bag and leapt onto the bus.
The driver shut the door with a painful screech, and started driving again before I was even in my seat. The only other person on the bus was a girl, sitting by herself in the back.
For a moment, I just stood there, debating whether to sit with her or not. It was when the bus driver grumbled at me, staring at me, clearly annoyed, in the mirror that I took a seat across from the girl, careful not to put my back against the seat.
Proudly, I ran my scared hand through my wavy blonde/brunette hair and said loud enough for her to hear, "Hey, my name is Blue. And you are?"
She looked me over for a second, then said, "Dray" (I'm assuming that's her name, seeing that it was in paranthesis in the profile)
Holding my legs to my chest with one arm, I rested the other on my knees and bit down on my thumbnail, looking at the group of guys across the road eying me warily.
Stay away I warned mentally.
One of the four gave me a womanizing smile so, disgusted, I spit on the ground in his direction, earning chuckles from his friends.
Turning away from them, I lowered my legs, allowing them to dangle off of the bench, and placed my hands on my thighs, brusied from my stepfather's vicious attempt. Staring at my hands, resting on my legs, I bit down on my lower lip and remembered what happened just half an hour ago.
I sat on my bed, my hand on the phone, reading Wuthering Hieghts while shifting my gaze to my door every few minutes, dreading Mel coming in, praying to God he wouldn't, though by now, after countless nights of my begging God for this all to stop and him giving me no answer, I don't believe in God. I believe in Jesus. Jesus went through the same pain and suffering as any other mortal did, Jesus had human flesh which shared my pain. God did and does nothing.
I must have dozed off, because I awoke to the sound of my, thank God squeeky, door opening. Swiftly, Mel came into the room.
Biting down on my bottom lip hard, I averted my attention to the squirrel flitting up the tree, not wanting to remember what came next, causing my leaving despite my love for my love-blind mother.
The guys across the street seemed to be trying to capture my attention with their calls and jeers, but I ignored them. Thankfully, the bus then pulled up the doors flinging open with a terribly grating sound. Grabbing my bag, I all but jumped onto the bus, not looking back in the direction of my now former home.
The doors closed behind me and the bus was driving again my the time I was half way down the aisle, slowly approaching a guy and a girl seated across from one another.
Frightened and unsure, I sat about two seats behind them, a quiet and respectable distance away. Or, at least far enough that I was away from harm.
I watched the two awkardly introduce themselves, realizing they were just meeting. Their eyes kept shifting to me, but I just looked out the window in my own little world. It wasn't until a hand touched my shoulder that I snapped out of it.
Frightened, I whipped around and pushed the boy away from me viciously, causing him to stumble and land on his butt on the seat next to mine as I growled, "If you want to keep that hand, don't you dare touch me!"
For a minute, the two just stared at me. But then I noticed the scars on the boys face and hands, and his nose which appeared to have previously been broken. He looked pretty battered.
My expression softening, I hugged my legs to me chest and said gentley, "My name is Michal."
Nervously, I fiddled with my silver guitar pick case, tracing my true name, Antonia, over and over again with my index finger. God how I hate that name. Not just because it's so different and because it's a Russian name, but because it's clearly a girl's name.
With a sigh, I slid the silver case back into my pocket and adjusted my black hat on my head, pulling at the front of my short brown hair that hung out of the hat about an inch in the front, not so much anywhere else on my head. It was the hair cut that did it. When I came home with my hair chopped off a couple weeks ago, mum and dad lost it. That's what really set the whole straight camp thing into gear. When they told me they wanted to send me there today, I went upstairs to my room, packed my stuff, and left through my window, not saying a word to them.
With my guitar slung on my back in it's black case, my wallet and guitar picks in my pocket, my necklace, my hat, and my ace bandages (in a compartment in the guitar case), I was ready to leave. These were the only things I needed, the only things I wanted. I didn't want any memories, any reminders of this dreadful life I'm leaving behind. Except one. The silver case in which has my name engraved on it. Why I chose to take it is beyond me, but I couldn't bring myself to leave it behind.
Sighing, I looked down at my black, ankle converse and twisted my foot to look at the bottom, where my friend had written "ANDY" just like in Toy Story, causing me to smile.
The bus then pulled up, and I quickly boarded, seeing a couple people already there. I felt a lump form in my throat, worrying about what would happen if they knew. Would they react as my family did or my friends did? Right then and there, I resolved not to tell them I'm really a girl unless someone asks. If not, I am simply Andy. A simple guy with a not so simple life. Braving myself, I approached the group and sat near the lot of them.
Clearing my throat, glad that my voice was a tad deeper than most girls, so I was able to pass for a guy, I said confidently, "Hey, I'm Andy."
(fanfic, dray is just pronunciation its spelled Drea haha sorry for the confusion.) 3 people were on the bus now, I had introduce my dpself as Drea to each if them but felt that I woipuld be lying if I didn't say the whole thing. "my full name is Ariadne Drea corion" I said, shyly, to the others. There was a Boy and girl for sure, but there was another I couldn't quite figure out...they had medium hair, and femminen facial features but was definitely trying to look like a guy, I decided not to ask. I pulled my headphones out and looked at all of them, they're eyes told me they were here for the same reason I was. I looked at Blue, who was sitting across from me, he looked like he'd taken a slap to the face, from michal, she was quite feisty and a little scary but she looked scared and a little panicked. I went and sat next to Blue,"what's up?"I said.

When the girl Drea came and sat beside me, I was shocked. Most people stay away from me because of my "menacing" appearance, said my girlfriend last year, now ex girlfriend, who I had told nothing about my home life.
"Whats up?" She asked, a tad shyly.
Shaking my head, I shrugged and said simply, "Nothing really. Just in a bit of pain."
I quickly snapped my mouth shut, killing myself for telling her that. Shifting my eyes away from her, I looked down at my duck taped shoes.
With a need to change the subject, I said the first thing that came into my head, "Uh...look, that dude has a guitar. Can you play us something?"
Andy:
With a bright smile, I exclaimed, "Ill do you one better; Ill sing for you, too!"
Quickly, I unzipped my guitar case and pulled out my old acoustic buddy, plastered in stickers of different bands, rainbows, and me and my friends names in sharpie.
Happily, I got out my silver pick case, chose the black one, and placed the case on my knee.
I did that post via phone, and it was being a jack butt and wouldn't let me finish. So Andy is singing and playing Little Lion Man by Mumphord and Sons.
Roxxanna I tapped my fingers against the side of the bench keeping my eyes down so as not to encourae any guys to look a second time. "Hey!" I heard a boy's voice call but I just bit my lip and kept looking down. "Hey!" The same voice said but closer this time. I felt my breath catch in my throat as I heard footsteps come closer and I closed my eyes clutching my guitar/violin case closer to me along with my bag. I heard the bus come and I let my breath out explosively. I jumped up and ran onto the bus not looking back. I looked up and saw 4 other people on the bus. I went back and sat down setting my guitar/violin case beside me. "I'm Roxxanna Rain Onyx call me Roxxie." I said quietly.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Ksenia I was waiting impatiently for the bus to arrive when I spotted a woman on the other side of the road. I quickly turned around to cover my face and held my breath. It's her again! I recognized the woman from yesterday, who had been following me home. My heart skipped a few beats and I checked the time a million times. The bus should have arrived two minutes ago! It felt like ages 'till I heard the bus approach. "Finally" I whispered softly while entering the bus. I immediately walked to the back and avoided eye contact with the other passengers, partly because I wasn't much of a talker and I didn't want to waste my energy on trying to find the right words. English grammar wasn't exactly my strongest point as a native Russian. I sat down with a deep sigh and tried to stop the trembling of my hands, though with no success. I grabbed my bag and clung to it, as if it would protect me against the big evil world. The bus slowly started to drive again and I quickly peeked outside to see if the woman had noticed me but I didn't see her anywhere. It's okay, Ksenia. Breathe, if she would've seen you, you wouldn't be sitting here all alive I leaned back and closed my eyes. I should have left Aunt Katrina a letter.. (please tell me if there's bad grammar in this )

As I drew closer to the inhabbited area of our town, I pulled the ebony hood of my thin sweatshirt over my head. I didn't ned people recognizing me. In a town this small, people would be talking. Not that it was unual to see me skateboarding down the streets way after hours, but when they saw that, then I mysteriously missing, people would be all too willing to tell the police everything they knew.
I was pretty familiar with the police. I could walk into the station and greet most of them by name. Not that I got in trouble a lot, but it seemed I was down there every other day busting out one of the guys. Jacob had first aquainted me with the police when he was caught underage driving. He was fifteen, I was eleven.
I shook the memory out of my head, and pushed the skateboard faster as I saw a bus slowly aproaching the stop. I reached it just in time, and began to climb on.
"Wait," the bus driver stopped me, "No skateboards."
"Seriously, dude?" Dude was my general term for just about anyone. Maybe not the president, but I'd cross that bridge when I came to it.
He didn't look amused, "Seriously."
"Fine," I walked down the steps, and dumped the skateboard on the sidewalk. I could just get another one when I got to-
Where am I going? I rolled the question around in my head as I took the very last seat, brushing past a few people introducing themselves, and past one girl who seemed to not want to be involved in anything. It struck me as odd that there were only kids, teenagers, on the bus, but I didn't comment. Most of them seemed scared and unsure, and I did my best to make sure I didn't look like them. I did my best to keep my head up, a half amused smile on my face. I looked straight ahead. Unmoving.
a half smile, even through the images that were burning in my mind. The house ripped apart. My father's lifeless body. The phone ringing and ringing. Everything taken and gone.
Don't show you're afraid.
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
Blue said something to me when i asked him what was up...something that shook me. "Nothing really. Just in a bit of pain." It occured to me that he had just told me everything, and nothing. He quickly changed the subject to the boy/girl who called themself Andy. Andy played the guitar, Mumford and sons, nice. Soon more people entered the bus the first one being a girl, Roxxie, she was quiet and sat down quickly. The next, a girl who said nothing but was about our age, she went to the back and hugged her rucksack as if it was her key to life and knowing why she was probably her, it was. Finally, another girl who was told to dump her skateboard by the bus driver, "seriously, dude?" was her reply before she threw it on the sidewalk. She sat down and tried to look happy-ish, i almost smirked at her, she knew that she wasnt, she was just like the rest of us.
"Ok, well i'm Ariadne Drea...Call me Ari call me Drea Whatever" I said, getting sick of the quiet quickly. "lets just get the names over with, this might be more manageable if we aren't alone"
Then i went to the back of the bus, by the girl who had said nothing.
"Are you ok, hun?" My motherly traits immediatly surfacing, I reached my arm across her to comfort her. "I'm Drea, If you didnt hear"

When I finished the song, I heard the chick Drea say that we might as well introduce ourselves so we wouldn't be alone.
Clearing my throat, I focused on making my voice a tad deeper, already seeing the question in all of their faces, and said, "Well everyone, my name is Andy, as my shoe says." I said that last part while showing them the bottom of my shoe.
After everyone, for the most part, introduced themselves, I started playing a new song.
Though I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga, I played born this way, as well as sang it, using my high pitched singing voice as an advantage. As I did so, I quickly putting my pick case in my pocket so mo one would see my true name.
Ksenia "Are you ok, hun? I'm Drea, If you didn't hear" I didn't see her coming and her question made my breathe get caught in my throat. She seemed to be nice and the way she put her arm around me made me think of my mom, but life had made me paranoid. I stared at her suspiciously while putting on a plastic smile. She could be one of them. Why else would she start to talk to you? I knew I was paranoid and even though this Drea seemed to be too young to be part of the Russian maffia, I still didn't trust her. "Uhh I'm fine, thank you." I said softly while trying to look like a normal school going teenager and probably failed at that.

Drea: The girl looked up, Surprised. She put on one of the most fake smiles i'd ever seen, then again it'd been a while since i'd seen a smile at all. "Uhh, Im fine, thank you" she said,, her voice thick Russian. "what is your name?" i asked, She shyed away, almost afraid, " you can tell me when you want...But i'd like to know sometime" i told her. I went and sat next to fake-smile-skateboard-girl. "I'm Drea, Whats up?" i said, trying to be pleasant. It was hard and I had a flashback again: "Im going to find you this time Cell!!!!! i will!" "Never!" came the reply, my 11 year old sister ran through the yard as i closed my eyes, her curly brown, un-dyed hair blew in the wind and her gray sweater was stained with grass. The day was warm and perfect. I counted to ten, then went to look for her. She wasn't in her usual places, so i went around to the baack of the house, i saw her dart out of the corner of my eye, "AHA!" she was running into the neighbors yard, she didn't see the Jeep barreling down the street... As usual it was the sound of the screeching that snapped me out of it, I had been staring straight ahead out the window and i guess i was so focused that i hadnt heard The girl talking to me, or my own scream. The bus was silent, and all of them stared at me, "i'm...i'm...so..i'm sorry" i managed to blurt out before i burst into tears and ran back to my seat where i sunk down and sobbed.
