Hey guys! I'm back with some hopefully decent photos! Basically there was an agricultural show on today, so I managed, with a fellow YWSer to get some shots. Feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance!

The B&W one of the two men in bowler hats was perfect. Definitely my favorite. The one directly after that (the one with the numbered guy and the horse) seems ironic to me. Why isn't the horse wearing the number? I'm sure it wouldn't seem strange at all to you, since that's probably what they do at those places, but aorund here people are never numbered. The rest are all great pictures for focus and quality. The one that really did not match up to the rest was the side view of the horse jumping the fence. It is simply too cluttered. Also, the white of the fence blends in too readily with the whites of the other fences. I say you darken or blur them lke this:

I did this in two minutes, so I'm sure you could do much better!

Although I do agree with you 100% - the background is far too cluttered, I don't think I'll take you up on your editing advice. I really dislike over editing photos - the more natural the better. The lack of 'blur' is down to the lens itself. As it's only a 5.6, that's the max 'blur' you're gonna get when you're zoomed out a bit. If I wanted an effect closer to yours (and much better looking), I'd have to spend around £1000 on a lens, something which I'm just not prepared to do just yet Although if people start wanting prints of my work, then that could happen xD
Also I assume the gelding isn't wearing a number due to the simple fact it would take away from the horse turn out.
Thanks again, hopefully I didn't come across as snappy there D:
