I hate the way this one turned out.
I hate the horns the most. I wish I could erase them, but they are already shaded. *fume*fume* The overall picture did not turn out as "smooth" as this on did: http://www.youngwriterssociety.com/topic79976.html
I am not even sure why I am even submitting this one, maybe because I feel sorry for it? I finished it, so I might as well give it a chance, right :)
I did this one in school as well just for fun, and used a mechanical pencil. I have never done a dragon like this before. I guess I should not be too harsh as it is my first time using this style? I like the bone plate on the head the best though.

Hmm... The only thing that could use some improvement is his mouth, it is kind of hard to find. Other then that it looks great! Your shading is awesome especially considering the tools you you were using.

Well done,

Oh shiney1, you harsh self critic you. This was just beautifully done. Really, whatever mistakes you see are completely made up for by the amount of detail you put into this. Drawings like this don't ever just happen. It takes a lot of time and focus to create such beautiful, intricate artwork.

The horns don't really look all that bad to me. The only thing that really stuck out in a way was the mouth. The perspective seemed a little off. But other than that, you might want to consider taking the time to appreciate your own work. :] It's pretty epic if you ask me. Your style is really unique. You may have some pieces that come out better than others, but I'm sure they're all very good.

I was really into the different textures. It makes black and white look more colorful with character. Great job with this.

Who could ever hate this drawing? This is exquisite! Positively incredible! I've never seen such a beautiful drawing done with such a simple tool! What ever could you possibly not like about it! Let me go top to bottom...

The head is by far the best. The horns are beautiful and perfectly in line, the eyes looks excellent, the bone and scales couldn't be better, and how about that crest? The shading, shape, and texture are all of the highest caliber. Well done!

I love the jaw too. The scales, beard, and beak all come together at the mouth line perfectly. It looks like it could open up and roar right on the paper!

Moving down the neck is positively flawless. I love the bone and the scales, and they blend together perfectly. What else is there to say?

I wish I could draw something with 10% of the artistic skill that this so clearly exhibits. Well done, and keep up the good work! :D

True, the horns are confusing. However, it's fixable. Shade darker under the horns, so that we can see that they're apart from the head and not flush with it.
Anyways, it looks great! :D

Hey. I'm Teardrop! Okay, really I think this is excellent. The scales are really amazing, and I think the eyes are gorgeous. The only thing I can think of is that the horns and the side of the head are almost the same shade. This makes it sort of hard to tell them apart from eachother. I suggest maybe shading the scales of the head a bit darker, so it looks different from the color of the horns. I agree with freewritersavvy, it doesn't really look like he has a mouth at first glance. Try emphasizing on the mouth just a tad. Otherwise, the dragon's whole body is flawless, expecially down the neck. Overall, I really love it! Nicely drawn!

Hey again =] I found your recent dragon drawing and decided to look at some of your older ones and this one has to be one of my favorites so far. The face in general is just... wow. It makes you wish that these creatures actually existed. It's sort of funny because you said you didn't like how this one turned out. But its really impressive. I love it. Great job =]
