Blue Hair Doodle

So, I didn't take either of these very seriously x) I needed an hour or so break, so I just flipped open GIMP and started drawing. I didn't use any reference for the first one, but I did need one for the head-tilt on the second.

Just a random character. Maybe I should name him or something x)



I swear, this guy just WANTED to be emo... I really didn't want him to look so sad x( But it seemed every line I made would make him even more depressed so I just stopped lol. Definately not one of my favorites, but someone might get a kick out of it.

Gosh, seriously! One of these days I may learn how to draw digitally JUST so I can beat you somehow!!! Pahahahaha I love the top one :3 you should name him Phylup. It's like Philip only spelled cooler X3 hahaha ohhhh I'm so weird. almost everything I draw that doesn't have a name already is named Phylup. XD I don't know why. It just turns out that way. Someone says "Did you give him a name?" and my automatic response is "His name is Phylup" XD

So anyway. I love Phylup's (lol) hair. Because of the shading it looks so flowy and pet-able :3 put whats up with the sad faces?! Someone with a name as cool as Phylup shouldn't be sad. Personally, I think that both drawings look emo X3 I don't know if the first on is intentionally emo, or what, but he seems sad, and almost like he's happy as the same time? It's like Phylup is a masochistic emo kid or something. But oh well. The expression makes me want to hug him, so it's okay :3

But.... I dislike the second drawing. There's nothing really wrong with it, per say, but he just seems like a depressed stalker dude or something.... I don't like it :/ although I do like the sketchy-ness of it. You should try the style more often :3

All that I have to say is you are verrrryy talented to be able to do this freehand without resources, and they are both awesome! First is my fav. Good job on the shading. Keep up the good work!

You're like the future of art- Computer drawing!!! In the few drawings you've made i've noticed your style. Great! Good colors, style, and shape. Everything is great. The second pictures persons nose could be a bit more-less sharp, it looks a little funny. Otherwise great! I can't stop complimenting you!

Hey there, cool drawings! I really like the hair on the first one, really detailed. Sadly, I have no experience in computer drawing, except in Microsoft Paint, hehe , but I can spot a talented artist when I see some of his/her works. Good job!
