Hello, everyone.

I'm The Wayward Sock. Should this name be cumbersome, Sock, Wayward, Waysock, or WS will do. Or, really, nickname me however you like.

I'm new here in the sense that I just registered today, but I'm familiar with the site. As part of my wayward habits, I tend to roam about as far away from the sock drawer and my twin as possible, hitting young writers forums along the way, and a site like this is rather hard to miss. Figured I might as well join. Some might stay stalking you from the shadows and sidelines is creepy.

In the aforementioned waywarding adventures, I've picked up some knowledge about some stuff, and I hope to share it. So, you might see me around reviewing, but probably not much else. I just like adjusting sentence structure and prodding in the right direction.

Later,
Sock

Thanks for the welcome.

Anything in particular you'd like me to read, Micki? I don't do poetry (don't have the knack) but if there's something else, I'm game.

Hi Waysock,

What a peculiar username you have. But hey, I like it. Welcome to YWS. I'm sure you've heard that a million times before, but, hey, what do you expect me to say? Boo, don't join us? No, I don't mean that. Welcome to YWS, you'll have fun here. And of course you can join a review team! After all, the more the merrier isn't it?

Also, what kind of writing do you write? Poems? I like reviewing poems. However, if it's not poems, post it up anyway, other people will want to read it.

Anyways, have fun with the site. Shoot (not literally) me a PM is you have questions.

I don't write poems, just fiction. Mainly fantasy and sci-fi, but it's pretty dark stuff.

Hello Mr. Wayward Sock!

Firstly, I love your name, and as said above, I love your first post! A metaphor for the whole post, awesome sauce! Anywho, here are some tips I like to give:

1. We do a 2:1 ratio thing here. That is, we expect 2 reviews for every 1 piece of work you post. That is however a bare minimum, it is always nice if you do more as it makes you acquainted with other people, and it helps your writing. (Seriously, one of the best things to learn how to write, is to read others work and edit it.)

2. To go along with the 2:1 ratio thing, your YWS points, are like your own bank of cash. 75 points are used to post a literary item and 50 points are gained per review.

3. As I said above, it is nice to review others work as they will want to review yours as a sort of repayment.

4. Be nice, and remember, anything is acceptable. Pictures, lyrics, short stories, poems.... There is a lot of different stuff you can do.

And if you want a review or have any questions, I am always available!

If you do ever post something, be sure to let everyone know. We will transform into reviewing zombies right before your very eyes and then devour your piece, zombify it, and then spit out the carcass while chewing on the bones.

Sorry, I don't know why I said that. I was having a moment.

Stalking from the sidelines is something I enjoy quite a bit.

Let's be friends.

:D
We've stayed until the very end.
This is real for us.

I don't know if I want my work zombified. Zombies are kinda creepy. But, being devoured and spit back out? Probably be good for it.

And, wow, more welcomes. Everyone's so friendly

Why should Caesar just get to stomp around like a giant while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? Brutus is just as cute as Caesar, right? Brutus is just as smart as Caesar, people totally like Brutus just as much as they like Caesar, and when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody because that's not what Rome is about! We should totally just stab Caesar!
