Well Hello There :)

Hey everyone

I'm new, and the site looks pretty big and confusing, but hopefully I'll be able to find my way around. A few things about me: my name is Jasmyn McNamara. I'm 15 and I live in England. I love literature and music. I play piano and sing and I also write my own songs and lyrics. I love reading and writing, so I thought this would be a good place for me to improve and build upon my own writing as well as contributing and sharing with other people.

So, what kinds of things do you enjoy reading and writing about?

So, you play piano, sing, AND write your own songs and lyrics and such? Gosh, that's pretty awesome! Do you hope to become famous with it or is it more of a hobby sort of thing? In case you didn't already find it, there is a place to post lyrics and stuff. It'd be cool to see some of your work there.

Oh, and something else, where'd your username come from? Jazzy probably came from Jasmyn, right? But what about the Ox?

Haha, Hey there Jasmyn!! It's really not that confusing when you're on here for a while, as you've hopefully discovered XD ! I'll be your friend and/or guide if you want! Although, mods are also really good at helping new people get around the site! TTyL! (and by the way, nice last name! )

I like reading classics, romance, fantasy, historicals and maybe a mish mash of all of those I write about anything really, whatever floats my boat at the time.

Ahaa I don't think I wanna be famous I just enjoy writing songs but lyrics always sound a little bare without the music, I think it's very hard to judge whether they're good or not without the melody and accompaniment but hey ho.

Hey, Jasmyn. (: Nice to have you on the site, and Welcome to YWS!

As another new addition, I would just like to say that you have nothing to worry about as far as the site goes. Once you play around with it for a little while, I think you'll find that it's pretty easy. You know, that whole practice makes perfect thing. It's sort of true!

Just have fun with getting acquainted with the site. Everyone here is pretty nice and helpful. YWS is a great place to post your work and have it reviewed. Just remember that to get reviews you must also give them. And they must be helpful.

Also, if you ever have any questions, need anything, or would like a work of yours reviewed, I wouldn't hesitate to ask me. I'd be glad to help you out. ^-^ Just either post a comment on my wall or PM(private message me).

As for the site, yes it can be confusing. I didn't know a welcome mat existed until weeks after I joined. xD

So what do you like to write? Poetry or Prose? Except for lyrics. I am much of a poetry person. You see, I attempted to write lyrics but I failed. I failed real bad. XD
