Some where there’s always a desire hidden
A wish undisclosed,
Somewhere there’s always a hope in somebody’s eyes
A hope that flicker’s like a candle burning in the dark still so softly
Somewhere there’s always a meaning to the words,
To the Words that are unsaid
Somewhere, someone’s waiting patiently,
Maybe there’s miracle to come
Somewhere the light shines upon those in darkness,
Maybe someone’s counting their blessing
Somewhere dreams always come true
For those who believe in them
Somewhere the weakness turns to strength
For those who believe in themselves
Somewhere, someone’s still learning to love
As if learning to smile
Somewhere, someone’s falling in love all over again
As if they have finally learned to fight over the pain
Somewhere, someone’s remembering the good times
As if the memories still hold fresh in mind
Somewhere there still echoes the sounds of laughter
The innocence of childhood isn’t lost yet

Somewhere, the fragrance still lingers in the breeze
Bringing back the charm that once belonged to the flowers that held them
Somewhere, tears glisten like pearls
Like the jewels of sadness adorning the face
Somewhere the darkness and light co- exist
Without, which the other is incomplete
Somewhere every ending has a new beginning

Somewhere…..Sometimes it’s best to leave a sentenced unfinished

I loved this poem! It was well written and I liked how one line fell into the next. Everything was very connected. The idea/story of the poem was great as well. Here are my corrections and suggestions (:
Corrections Suggestions

Somewhere there’s always a desire hidden ("Some where" should be one word)
A wish undisclosed,
Somewhere there’s always a hope in somebody’s eyes
A hope that flicker’s like a candle burning in the dark still so softly (I think you can remove the word "still" )
Somewhere there’s always a meaning to the words,
To the words that are unsaid (you capitalized "words")
Somewhere, someone’s waiting patiently,
Maybe there’s miracle to come
Somewhere the light shines upon those in darkness,
Maybe someone’s counting their blessings (You just didn't pluralize it)
Somewhere dreams always come true
For those who believe in them
Somewhere the weakness turns into strength (I changed "to" to "into", but you can leave it if you like)
For those who believe in themselves
Somewhere, someone’s still learning to love
As if learning to smile (I think this line is just a bit too short, try adding just one word)
Somewhere, someone’s falling in love all over again
As if they have finally learned to fight over the pain
Somewhere, someone’s remembering the good times
As if the memories still hold fresh in mind
Somewhere there still echoes the sounds of laughter
The innocence of childhood isn’t lost yet (Just wanted to point out that I really like this line!)

Somewhere, the fragrance still lingers in the breeze
Bringing back the charm that once belonged to the flowers that held them (This line is too long, causing the flow to be off. Try taking away some words or rephrasing it)
Somewhere, tears glisten like pearls
Like the jewels of sadness adorning the face
(Again, another part I really like! Great imagery (: )
Somewhere the darkness and light co- exist
Without, which the other is incomplete
Somewhere every ending has a new beginning

Somewhere…..Sometimes it’s best to leave a sentenced unfinished (Great ending!)

Overall, awesome poem. I loved the way you wrote it and the story is great :)
Keep up the good work!
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

Hi,
I really loved your poem. The concept was fantastic. I loved the ending especially, I think it was phenomenal. Here are my suggestions:

Some where there’s always a desire hidden
A wish undisclosed,
Somewhere there’s always a hope in somebody’s eyes
A hope that flicker’s (flickers, the apostrophe is necessary) like a candle burning in the dark still so softly
Somewhere there’s always a meaning to the words,
To the Words that are unsaid
Somewhere, someone’s waiting patiently,
Maybe there’s (a) miracle to come
Somewhere the light shines upon those in darkness,
Maybe someone’s counting their blessing(s?) feel free to ignore this one, I'm not sure.
Somewhere dreams always come true
For those who believe in them
Somewhere the weakness turns to strength
For those who believe in themselves
Somewhere, someone’s still learning to love
As if learning to smile
Somewhere, someone’s falling in love all over again
As if they have finally learned to fight over the pain (I think it should be 'fight the pain', again feel free to ignore)
Somewhere, someone’s remembering the good times
As if the memories still hold fresh in mind
Somewhere there still echoes the sounds of laughter (either 'echoes' should be 'echo' or 'sounds' should be 'sound')
The innocence of childhood isn’t lost yet

Somewhere, the fragrance still lingers in the breeze
Bringing back the charm that once belonged to the flowers that held them (I think you're referring to the fragrance by 'them', fragrance is singular so 'them' should be 'it')
Somewhere, tears glisten like pearls
Like the jewels of sadness adorning the face
Somewhere the darkness and light co- exist
Without, which the other is incomplete
Somewhere every ending has a new beginning

Somewhere…..Sometimes it’s best to leave a sentenced unfinished

That's it. Keep writing this spectacularly.
:)
You say you like it, but do you like it enough to 'like' it?

I'm going to have to dissent from the other reviewers on this one. I think this poem tried to be too broad, and as a result it went to vague language and cliches. I've heard the stuff about light and darkness and hope being a candle before. To be honest, I'm not terrifically interested in what someone is doing somewhere, and the poem doesn't make me that interested.

That isn't to say I think you're a bad writer. You did have some good images in there. I especially liked this part:
Somewhere, someone’s still learning to love
As if learning to smile

And this part (although the second line is kind of clunky, I like the idea)

Somewhere, the fragrance still lingers in the breeze
Bringing back the charm that once belonged to the flowers that held them

Honestly, each of the ideas you mentioned in here could make a poem in and of themselves. Love, light, desire, darkness, hope, strength, dreams, childhood...these are big themes that almost everyone could relate to. Instead of trying to squash them all in one poem, why not focus on one and create a better poem with more focused imagery?

I think you have potential, but in my experience the best poetry comes from finding the big lessons in smaller moments. Keep writing!

I love the story behind it. but i have a few things to point out.

Some where there’s always a desire hidden - 'somewhere' should be one word
A wish undisclosed,
Somewhere there’s always a hope in somebody’s eyes
A hope that flicker’s like a candle burning in the dark still so softly - this should be 'flickers' for the present tense of the verb
Somewhere there’s always a meaning to the words,
To the Words that are unsaid
Somewhere, someone’s waiting patiently,
Maybe there’s a miracle to come
Somewhere the light shines upon those in darkness,
Maybe someone’s counting their blessing
Somewhere dreams always come true
For those who believe in them
Somewhere the weakness turns to strength
For those who believe in themselves
Somewhere, someone’s still learning to love
As if learning to smile
Somewhere, someone’s falling in love all over again
As if they have finally learned to fight over the pain
Somewhere, someone’s remembering the good times
As if the memories still hold fresh in mind
Somewhere there still echoes the sounds of laughter
The innocence of childhood isn’t lost yet

Somewhere, the fragrance still lingers in the breeze
Bringing back the charm that once belonged to the flowers that held them
Somewhere, tears glisten like pearls
Like the jewels of sadness adorning the face
Somewhere the darkness and light co- exist
Without, which the other is incomplete - you don't need the comma
Somewhere every ending has a new beginning

Somewhere…..Sometimes it’s best to leave a sentenced unfinished

I love it, especially the ending! keep writing!

Thank you everyone....for your comments and pointing out the errors in them...and im happy that you all liked it! :)

@Silent words thank you! appreciate your effeorts

@Priyansha...thank you so much..apreaciate your efforts

@niteowl...i understand what you're trying to say.....but the words just flow in my mind... so i dont stop to think about it being cliched... i also understand what you're trying to say about each theme individually.....i will try to explore and write those themes on their own...but this one...its sort of like a story..like a magical fairy tale....and i really wanted these elements but i appreaciate your comments as well ..thanks:)
@Yanni 1995 thank you so much...i never realized there were so many errors and i'm glad you liked my poem
