Hello, World!

I just stumbled across this site and am already impressed by it. c: It seems a lot different than the other young writers forums out there.

I happen to go by Cairo. I'm 14 years of age, and a bit of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to the arts. I do musical theatre (acting, singing, dancing), I draw, and I play trumpet and alto saxophone, but I like to think writing is my best area. I'm an aspiring writer but also a huge procrastinator... not a good mix!

Hmm. Favorite shows are Sherlock & Castle. I love the Infernal Devices series, as well as I Am Number Four and quite a few others. I'm a fiction (and fanfiction, guilty as charged) writer and reader; criminal mysteries and suspense are much loved. I can't wait to start reading the work of others and posting my own work. Overall, I'm just excited about this site!

Any advice for new people like me?

Hmm, advice? Stay on this website! It's fun and addicting (even to a 25 year old like me ) LOL. Did you ever watch Prison Break? It's on Netflix, not sure about Cable or Satellite tv but it's really good show. I think one of the actors, Dominic Parcell or Purcell was in Castle some of the episodes. I'd watch Castle if I could find it online somehow. Do you know if its on Netflix? Anyway, back to the subject!

Welcome to YWS! I also stumbled upon it a few months ago and I love it. I specialize in drawing and writing short stories. I'd love to write a t.v. series but I'm afraid of tackling that task. I want to finish my stories I have been working on now before starting another big project. Anyway, after you post some works I will review it and I'm sure others will too! Glad you found us!

Kathy45622 - I've never seen Prison Break but I might just check it out now. ;D As for Castle, we -cough-downloadepisodes-cough- so I'm sure you can find it online. I'm not sure exactly where because my Dad downloads it, but I don't think it's on Netflix (shame. D: ) Anyway, it would be interesting if you started a tv series. I'm already intrigued. x) Good luck if you ever do start that, and I'll make sure to take a look at your work as well.

I LOVE Castle! It's brilliant.
Well, you seem to know a lot of things. I love listening to music, excpet when it comes to playing I was never really musical. I tried the keyboard and the veena.
