Okay. So, I was reading this very cute manga today to kill time and when I saw this picture I just HAD to try drawing it
Just to give you a fair warning though,
1. I accidentally squished the head so it's not as long as the original ;P
2. I made the hands freakishly small... unintentionally.
(But other than that, mine is way cuter)

I agree.. yours is cuter.

The thing I love about this isn't the head or the pants (although those are brilliantly shaded) or the book; it's the CUTE LITTLE STRAND OF STICKING UP HAIR ON HIS HEAD! I love that it's so wonderful and crooked and... wonderful.

The feet are pretty good. I at first didn't like them but then I looked at it all together, they really add to the picture.

The book is big and overall simple.. you can draw a wonderfully straight line. You'd be surprised how many people can't! (:

The vest, the shadowing on the eyes... it was all great. I give you an A. (:

I was doubtful at first, but you're right--yours is cuter, and the squashed head makes it that way!!

The small hands still look a bit off to me.

Aaandd I don't have anything else to say, since I don't normally review art. (I'm a writer, not an artist. )
But this was cute, and I'd really like to know the manga.

Oh, and I like that your pants don't have checks. Makes the picture softer.
