Hello every one! I'm finally back after a long while of doing nothing with these pictures. I took them while in the city with my Dad and sister for the afternoon. They are not the best I know but I would like to get better so if you guys could critique them than that would be awesome. :) If you don't feel like writing a critique than just comments would also be great. Oh, and on a side note if any one has a tumblr then I post quite a few of my photos on my tumblr blog as well (as if any one is interested, the link is here:http://tabscribbles.tumblr.com) .

I liked the first one a lot, just because the background had a good contrast with the people. It was fun to look at.
As for the second one and the third, I like the third more. But I think that the angle was a little off. I think it would have been a lot cooler had you used a different setting with the camera, one that made the sign pop out and left the background blurry. That would've been really rad. =]
As for the bird in the tree, I sort of liked this picture, but it wasn't really unique subject matter. I've taken pictures just like that one. Had you changed the angle it would have really made the picture unique.
My favorite by far is of the little boy =] The picture focuses on one object and doesn't have tooooo much going on. It's nicely balanced and centered really well. The perspective is absolutely perfect and it's really just a gorgeous photograph. As for the building, I like how if you rotate the image, the building fits almost perfectly into the sky, if you get what I'm saying, and the fact that you caught the bird in just the right place makes it a lot more interesting too.
The last photo isn't my favorite, but like the one of the sign, had you used a different setting it would've really caught my attention.

Overall you're work is really good. experiment with different settings and try to find the light and darks in the photograph =]

Hey!

I LOVED the first one. The graphics are clear and really pop out of the picture. Taking that picture in black and white was what made it special. The contrast between the single-shade cars and the multicolored pictures really makes the picture pop.

I liked the second one much better than the third one because I've always like simplicity done right. The angle shows the textures of the sign very well, which is my favorite part. The white slats against the dark bricks was stunning.

The third one was too busy for me. Too much detail, too much to look at.

I didn't like the fourth one until I saw the bird. I LOVE that bird. That bird turns a ho-hum picture of some branches into a pretty good shot.

I would have liked the fifth one more if you zeroed more on the little boy and his... other person. (:
I do really like it, though. The angle of the boy's legs is really, really interesting. Catching him in mid-skip walking down the beautiful bridge... it's an amazing shot.

The sixth one is my favorite! The building blends into the sky, the words are big, stocky, and clear, and you caught the bird at a perfect spot.

The last one had to be my least favorite. I've seen pictures like this hundreds of times before. But I've never seen things like the other pictures.

Keep shooting and experimenting. You've got a great camera and sense of photography! :D

For you.
