Have you read The Demonata by Darren Shan? They're not your typical series of fantasy books, but worth a read. I find they're for a more mature audience than the Saga as well. They're written in both first person and present tense, so that can take a bit of getting used to, but, all in all, a good read.

There's always been a lot of tension between Lois and me, and it's not so much that I want to kill her, it's just, I want her to not be alive anymore.

My, my... The Idiot was simply brilliant! A rather predictable ending, yet one you certainly did not want to happen! Poor, poor Myshkin... I feel for him very much ^_^;;

I'm currently reading "Apocalypse Watch" by Robert Ludlum. Quite an intriguing novel thusfar ^_~

I've just finished reading Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, it was short but pretty good.

KazSmurf, I used to really love all of David Edding's books. I'd read most of his books ages ago and now started to read the Tamuli, which I hadn't read before and I just don't know what I saw in him. He repeats everything a bit to much for me. If I read "Be nice" one more time...

Ah, Trudi Canavan's the Black Magician trilogy is quite excellent. She lost her way a little with her second series though...

The Demonata is a light, but graphic read, haha. I quite enjoyed it.

Mad, I know how you feel. I've read all Eddings books, and I would read the Tamuli again anyday, but certain elements are oft-repeated. Still, a childhood favourite. Do read the Redemption of Althalus, its quite good.

I'm currently reading The Court of the Air by Stephen Hunt and its proving to be one of the most entertaining, original reads I've had in quite some time with a truly wonderful blend of science and magic and brilliant fantasy. I recommend it for all.

And I just finished reading:

Immortal Prince, by Jennifer Fallon.

And err, some others, the names of which escape me at the moment.

Still chugging along with War and Peace. I've had more people give me the "second take" look and say, "You're reading THAT?!?!" I grin sheepishly and say, "Yup. It's really good so far, even though I'm only on page 300. I've just got 1,000 more to go!" Then they REALLY stare at me...

I really admire your dedication! I'd love to read 'War and Peace' but I haven't been able to find it at my library. Maybe it's too big for the shelves...

I read "The Giver" last night and absolutely loved it. I like it so much I might have to extend on the ending :P
What I'm reading now is "A Vision of Light", courtesy Judith Merkle Riley.

I love it. Brother Greg's bragging on his humility just blew me away XD

Re-reading the Harry Potter series. I like to read them all again to refresh my memory about the details before the movies/books come out. I can't even wait for this summer =]

I'm also reading The Stranger again, which is one of my all time favorite books. Nothing new for me this week.

Answering 911: Life in the Hot Seat by Caroline Burau. I read about it in Reader's Digest, and I'm about half way through it at the moment.

I've just started reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I haven't decided if I like or not; however I can see why it's a classic. I'm nearly on chapter 4 and its a thin book so at least I won't get bored with it.
