This is a self portrait. It's accurate enough but a load prettier than me. The work overall is unfinished this is really just the base of the piece, I intend to place some sort of motif on top. Please tell me what you think, throw down any criticism you have, I practically live of the stuff :D Sorry about the bad quality I was to lazy to scan.

Wow, this is so pretty! I really wish I could draw, but unfortunately I have no talent in that whatsoever. I think that the hair looks perfect in this picture. I just think that the mouth and nose look a little off. They aren't exactly symmetrical, unless they aren't supposed to be. Overall, the portrait looks really good!
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

I personally like that. I think it adds realistic-ness to the picture, since the person isn't completely perfect.

For the most part, this is a pretty good picture. The thing that I would change would be the eyes and the bridge of the nose. I think the sides of the bridge of the nose have too extreme of dips, so it makes it look like her nose would stick out A LOT. Maybe have a little less shading on that, and narrow it?

With the eyes, they are pretty good. I'm guessing you already plan to add detail to them, so I'm not really going to critique that part much. ^^ The one thing I'd think about though, is maybe having them a tiny bit closer together. Once you narrow the bridge of the nose, you'll have a lot of blank space there. I remember an art teacher telling me "there should be ONE eye-length in between the eyes." Meaning, imagine you have a third eyeball in the middle, the edges of it touching the other eyes. That's how much space is typically between your eyes!

I hope I helped some. ^^ Good luck, and keep it up! Feel free to message me if anything I said doesn't make sense, or if you want more help.

Hi! Love the smilie in the title lol.
This is a really captivating portrait. I was particularly drawn to the bangs, and the shine in her hair in general. It's really quite amazing :D The shine makes it feel like there's this beautiful ray of light coming across her face, and the lines in the hair are perfectly sweeping, but still firm enough to hold shape. A lot of the time I see hair that looks randomly placed, but yours seems to be stunningly realistic. I can almost feel the texture. So don't worry about the 'bad quality' cuz it's all in your head ;)
It's going to sound weird, but I like how you left her eyes blank x) I know they will be filled in, but this to me was the most captivating part. She looks ghost-like, almost possessed. And to me, it's extremely interesting.
I do have two comments, though.
1) the right nostril looks tilted, almost like it's twisting away. It's a minor detail, but you don't want to make it seem like her nose is turned when this is supposed to be such a straight head-on shot.
2) the lips don't look 100% symmetrical. If you look closely at her bottom lip, you can see that it doesn't quite stretch all the way across the crease on the left as it does with the crease to the right. Same for the top lip. Also, I get the feeling that the lips are a bit too small, almost doll-like, but this might just be how your lips are :)
So to me, this looks just about finished. Her hair looks done, complete the eyes, a bit more shading to her face, and some shading under her chin on her neck.
And it will look PERFECT.
I'd love to see the reference pic you used for this in comparison with the final product!
Hope this helped :)

This is great! I love it to death! Especially how the hair falls, how it sort of frames the face. My favorite part :) The shading is great. All the critiques I have, no wait had, have already been said. Detail with the eyes such and so :P I would love to see the motif that you put above it too! Keep it up! If you usually do portraits then you should definitely keep on doing them. Luuurved it! I seem to be repeating myself... :| Well you get the point!

Wow! This portrait is amazing! Your art is indescribable. It takes the breath away from me. Well, there are only one small error in your art. The lips are really well drawn, but it seems a bit...misshaped. (I believe that's the right word.) Well, the bottom lip seems a bit off. I'm just pointing that out there. Besides that, your self-portrait is tremendously great! I love the eyes and the hair. It brings so much meaning to your art. I could never draw hair like that. I especially like the shine in the hair. It makes the hair stand out really well. Good job!

My face is slightly turned so that's why the lips look that way, they are accurate to the picture but on the other hand the nose is not. I did this in black pencil so i really had a hard tome smudging and rubbing this out, almost impossible. I won't be using black pencil again : (

It's so pretty! I am excited to see it when it's finished! *Follow* You are such an amazing artist, although it'd be easier to review if we had a picture of you.

This is really beautiful. The hair is absolutely wonderful. I like the style it's a good mix between realism and impressionism. I tend to go for a look sort of similar, but where as it looks like you lean towards impressionism with a hint of realism, I go for realism with a hint of impressionism. It's really fantastic. =]

Wonderful! As an artist myself, I really like this. It kind of has a statement to it. Even though I know it's just a self portrait. I think though that you need to get a little more demension in it. The hair is great and dosn't need much work. But as for the demension, I think it looks to 2d liike. Like add more shading around the nose or something. And maybe you could add like a pupil and stuff to the eye, but i kind of like the way the eyes are empty!
Anyway. This is awesome! You have some natural born talent with art! Keep it up!

Hey! I love that portrait. You've done a pretty good job in shading it. Especially the shine in the hair. It looks too realistic and that's good. You can color in the pupils of the eyes. The drawing will look more alive. That's the only advice I can give you because you've done a splendid job! :)
