Used black and gray watercolors, white and black acylics, and a ballpoint pen. Took me about 5 or 6 hours.

Dude, that's seriously good. I'm not sure if it means anything, though? I mean, all of it looks really really cool and I love the shadings and all, but it seems a bit random. Not even in a Dali way. Dali was that weird guy who painted stuff in the sky, right? Anyway, why a rhino with "family"? And why is it impaled on a spike? And those things that look like teeth and the snake... it doesn't exactly scream "familial feeling!"
If it does have some meaning or symbolism or whatever, then it's cool, but for now all I can see is a strange landmass with a rhino and a snake impaled on a spike. And weird things that look like teeth. Everything about it's very bleak, which seems weird next to the "mom" and "family".
Hang on, the things that look like teeth, are they the snake's tail? Like a rattlesnake? If it is th rest of the snake, then it looks unfinished. There's no detail, just white. I thought it was a strange random ribbon at first glance.

haha. This is what the person who asked me to draw this wanted. He and his dad used to be on our Serrano high school football team . The symbol for that is the Diamondback symbol which appears as a rattle snake shaped like a D. I guess the Rhino is for "Strength" and "Power." And as for the spikes, they have no purpose. I don't really know why I put the random spikes in there, nor the trees or the clouds. Or the extra ribbons. But the spikes were definetly not supposed to appear as if they were impaling anything. I guess that's how it looks though.

Nice, I like it but personally I wouldn't want that for a tattoo, just to much and some of it doesn't 'flow'. I'm really being knit picky because your art is so great. Generally it's very good, you obviously have a lot of technical skill. It's just the composition that's ticking me off. The background to me is a little bland and the stuff under the rhino, doesn't flow or make sense. I suggest you get rid of the random stuff, make the snake the rhino and the word family. The extra ribbon under the world family is okay but not under the rhino. Concentrate on the pure symbolism, simplify it a bit because a tattoo is something some on has to live with of the rest of their lives.
It's too confusing to be a tattoo, practically, but as a piece of art it's just too amazing! I love how you used watercolor and acrylic, that's gotta take some talent. Yeah, I thought those things were teeth too, but when I was looking for the 'D', I saw that it was part of the snake.
