First of all, I don't know if photoshop art goes here, I've never used this section of the forums before. Scold me if this isn't the place.
Secondly, I'm not an artist, I'm a writer. Which, in its own sense, is a form of art. What I'm trying to say is I don't draw, I don't take pictures, I don't paint.
So you can imagine my shock when I picked up my dusty ol' hand-me-down wacom tablet, downloaded a trial of photoshop and started drawing.
You might also be able to imagine my shock when it looked really good for me, like I said, I'm not an artist.
Actually, I think I may have been caught up in the moment. I don't draw because my drawing are rubbish, the pencil doesn't do what I want it to do. I can imagine my drawings, I can imagine every shade of every line in every part of whatever I'm drawing, but I can't make it so.
But with photoshop... With photoshop a whole new world opened up before me, I stared into the deepest pits of that world and I jumped. After about an hour and a half of drawing and shading, I stepped back from my work and I gasped. This picture may not be very good, I don't think it is in comparison to anything anyone else has posted here, but for me... What i'm trying to say is, "This picture sucks, but it's the best I've ever created."
This may be why I've put off posting it here, why I've shied away from the critique of a collection of masters. "They'll rip me to shreds" I thought, but no, I can't hold back any longer. I need opinions, Ideas. Help...
So, without further hesitation and monologues, I present to you. My eye... (not MY eye, but a drawing of an eye that I created, actually its someone elses eye, I think his name was Bob.)
