So... I'm a few days late. But, I'll get caught up. I hope.

1:
With heads held high,
The men return home.
No one believes them,
Though, the truth, they know.

The dragon has woken,
The lion has stirred.
The creature is wild,
A foe to be feared.

Without warning,
The dragon will strike.
It has no feeling,
No remorse, no delight.

Fear should be rampant,
Filling their hearts.
Though they run from the truth,
Believing ignorance is bliss.

With heads held high,
The men return home.
No one believes them,
Though the truth, they know.

I've had the most ridiculous knot in the middle of my back for almost a week now. It's getting kind of ridiculous, and it pretty much is taking over my life. So I wrote a poem about it. Not a very good poem, but hey, it's a poem.

2:

Ache
How can I move?
The pain of it all
Burns.
When will it leave?
This knot,
This ache
How can I move?

This exact situation didn't actually happen, but I've really been enjoying the sunshine. Though life hasn't been easy this past winter, I've been feeling so blessed lately, as spring arrives.

I saw a tiny miracle today,
When the first of the flowers bloomed.
Between the dampened petals there was
A bee, the first bee
Of the spring.
As though it had slumbered the winter there,
It spread its wings to fly away home.
Time stopped.
All I could see was
This tiny miracle,
Like it happened just for me.

This tiny miracle,
A reminder of life.
To show how spring starts anew,
Washing winter’s darkness
Away.
Bringing new joy
As a simple example of
God’s grace and love,
A small, buzzing gift
Sent from above.

So today is limerick day, just because they're fun. That is all.

One day a man walked with his dog,
But sadly, he tripped on a log.
He rolled down a hill
Not a small, but huge spill.
This poor man who walked with his dog.

I don't have much to say today. This poem is rather terrible... oh well.

5:
Dancing, singing,
Running through the streets.

The day has arrived,
The day full of hope.

The war is over,
Their lives restored.

To lay down their weapons
Is their greatest joy.

A time of peace
Will follow.

Their human nature
Has been satisfied.

Turning back to love
And laughter.

Children will return
To school.

In the time
After disaster.

When the wind blows
I will hear you.
When the wind blows
I will know you are there.
When the wind blows
I will be beside you.
When the wind blows
I will cross oceans.
When the wind blows
I will remember.
When the wind blows
I will find you.
When the wind blows
I will be your friend.

7:
Time
It is among the most precious of commodities,
And yet,
It is the most easily squandered.
It is strange to think
That time could suddenly run out,
That we do not have forever.
Reality steps in.
Why do we wait
For our time to be up,
Before we truly live?
Let us resolve to not waste
That which we can never gain back,
Let us decide to live differently.
So they may say about us,
“They lived life to the full.
They did not waste time
Like so many did.”
So they may be inspired to
Make the most of themselves,
And not waste
The gift
Of their time.

Yes, I know I missed yesterday... I will try to get caught up later. But I really wasn't going to come on here at 10:30 last night to put my poem up.

8:
Day after day, they wait.
Longing for someone to bring them to life,
Wishing that someone would make them sing.
The dust covers the keys,
Disguising their beauty,
Masking their true potential.

Forever they will wait,
Standing in silence,
Unless someone special will help them again.
Black beside white,
Nothing can separate the two.

Save the piano, my friends,
Before the art is lost,
Before the world forgets it forever,
And time wins out again.

Today's poem is a haiku. Cheap? Maybe. Awesome? You know it.

9:
Laughter fills the hall,
Children running, singing rhymes
On summer's first day.
