So here goes nothing
Day 1: Crushed
She caused you
Pain and destruction
She killed your
Hopes and dreams
She scared away your
Future and reality
Yet you let her
Stay
Afraid to live
Without her
Not knowing how
To be alone
You wither away
By her demise
There is nothing to writing; all you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein~ Red Smith

Day 2:
Your Affair
Rain pounding down
Upon our happy home
It took you three years
To being her into our lives
And it only took her an hour
To tear it all down
She was ferocious,
Never caring
about our lives getting in the way
A tornado throwing debris,
She ripped us to pieces
Now there’s only me,
You and her
No our
No us
There is nothing to writing; all you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein~ Red Smith

Day Three:
Our Union
It’s been twenty-eight long years
Two hundred thousand tears
Five heart breaks
And one million scars
Mother said you were never comin’
Daddy said he’d shoo you away
Yet you’re here
Skin and glow of an angel
Blue eyes of the ocean
Kisses like rain drops on my lips
Arms as strong and cuddly as a bear
This is my wedding day
And I fell in love with
You

This is a sensitive subject, but one that's been on my heart lately. If you are for a abortion this may upset you (the second poem)
A Loving Mother
A kick here
A fist there
You have a face
Yet, I cannot see you
A heartbeat perhaps
That flutters, tickling your insides
Making you that much more real
I am your voice
I am you home
You will be my darling baby
You will always be mine
(poem number two)
The Other Side
A kick here
A fist there
You’ll never know
What it’s like to be
My baby
You’ll be a cluster of cells
An interruption to my life
An insignificant dismal
I wouldn’t be able to love you
Nor hold, kiss, hug you.
Yet, I will not let someone else have you
I, selfishly, just won’t give birth to you
I am no mother
A baby killer
Too important to be weighed down by you
I too many important plans
That just
Don’t involve you
A heartbeat song
A heartbeat gone
There is nothing to writing; all you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein~ Red Smith

Day five: Trust
Trust.
A funny
Five letter word
You blew mine away
Like dust
My world has
Been held by many
But by you is when is was perfect
The confidence
I held in you, maybe too strong
A perfect listener, giver of advice
You aren’t suppose to be capable
Of this kid of hurt
Having you locked away
Makes me feel incredible sadness
I can’t breather,
Sleep,
Or think of anything but you
I told you things
My most precious don’t know
Feeling hurt, violated, sickened
I could never face you again
Yet, I don’t want you to be thought ill of
You were a good person
Most good falls into evil
You were a person of value
My friend
My educator

Day six: We need a change
Life full of candy, games, and love
A child's dream
Rainbows, Unicorns, and fantasy lands
A childs imagination
That is how childhood should be
Nowadays it's filled with different things
Divorce, abuse, and addictions
A child's nightmare
Beatings, screaming, and war
A child's reality

Day Seven: Death.
Blood.
Thick and heavy.
It's running
Through you.
Drained from others
To keep a still body alive
Cold, blue
I need you
Come home to me
Jesus can have you another
Time.

Day eight: Noise
Thump. Thump.
My head is pounding.
Crowd. Crowd.
The people keep coming.
Drip. Drip.
The rain comes slow.
Bam. Bam.
My ears drum on.
Sweep. Sweep.
Books are pushed on tables.
Churn. Churn.
Minds are thinking.
Vroom. Vroom.
Pencils are sharpened.
Silence.
The library is closed.

Day nine: Beautiful
I am no size zero
My stomach isn’t flat
I can’t fit into a size small
My hair isn’t styled
I don’t wear designer jeans
My nails are short and jagged
I can’t sing, along with many other
Talents in which I don’t succeed
I have pimples
My skin doesn’t glow
My feet and balance can’t handle
High heel shoes
But I am BEAUTIFUL
Because my personality shines through
*********************
Perfect:
Personality,
It’s an ugly word
Something fat, ugly
People say to make things ok
But in this world to be somebody
Is to be perfect
Straight hair
Plastered smile
Perfect teeth
Stunning clothes
No blemishes
Or scars
Make-up fit for a queen
An entourage
They want to be you
You can fake a personality
It’s apart of the game
No one has to know
The real you
As long as
It doesn’t shine through

Day ten: Kissing the stars
Sweat glistens along
Your forehead
Grunts and strains come from
My mouth
Feet and hands
Are in perfect unison
Your beautiful hair
Swishes in the night air
My strong arms
Hold you just right
The rains trickles down our bodies
It doesn’t matter
Out in the open
Our hearts swirling around
You twirl and spin
I catch you, kiss you
Spontaneous, courageous
I’d only do this with you
Dancing in the rain
At midnight.

Day 11:
May 31st
Tiny hands
Long laughs
The memories
Are flooding back
We were all just children
Not too long ago
Pushing through obstacles
Obtaining accomplishments
We are adults now
Leaving behind out childhood homes
Blinking away the tears
I stand up on that stage
And
Graduate

Day 12:
Voicebox:
You capture me
In every note
Melodies locked in
With a voice from the heavens
Angels would strike
each other, leaving gashes
For a voice
As sweet as yours
No strain or effort
On your part
The lush sounds just spill
From that magnificent mouth
Like a lullaby
You capture me

Day 13:
No Words Today
Blank space
Empty verses
Words not there
You do that
To me
A person who
Fills their days
Writing trillions of words
But when you’re around
I’m wordless
There is nothing to writing; all you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein~ Red Smith

Day 14:
Who said:
Who said that
Tears had to be sad
Who said that
Rain falls only in bad times
Who said that
Fire was angry
Tears are graceful
Falls of emotion
Showing you’re human
The rain cools the land,
Heals beauty,
Brings rainbows
We ask for the
Passionate waves
Of rebelling fire

Day 15:
The Fast and Furious
The hair of a mermaid
And eyes of seaweed
Her laughter filled the room
Her beauty silencing everyone
She dance the night away
On prince charming’s arm
But on their way home
The roads turned into slush
No one heard her screams as
She became a cross on highway 71

Uh, Lisa, the whole reason we have elected officials is so we don't have to think all the time. Just like that rainforest scare a few years back: our officials saw there was a problem and they fixed it, didn't they?
