When felix arrived in the town, he was, first of all, tired and sweaty. His leather cloths were wearing him down and he was really hot. Secondly, he was instantly awed by the grandeur of it's magnificence. The trees were bigger than any tree that he had ever seen, and they were not just for show. The trees were where the inhabitants lived. They were almost like baobabs, except the color was differed greatly, as these trees were naturally a marble white. The townsfolk, who were mostly human, were pleasant, too. With there help, Felix found himself at the front door of an inn with the words KEEBLER'S INN engraved above the door. When he walked in, a jolly fat man behind the door gave him a hearty welcome and asked Felix if he had a reservation. The man was about three feet tall and twice that size wide. His face was purple, and he had obviously had one two many to drink at the bar. " I am sorry, sir, but I'm afraid that I don't. " Felix meekly replied.
"Ha Ha! Nut'n to be surry fur! Let's see 'bout gett'n ya a room, neh?" He chuckled a little then took a swig from a wine skin.
"How much will a room cost for a night or two?" Felix asked.
"That all depends!"
"On?"
" Are you here for one night, or two?" The man burst out laughing, and even though Felix was getting annoyed, everyone knows that laughing is contagious after being exposed for it to long. After they got control of themselves, the inn keeper took another swig of wine and said," But seriously, for one night, it will be twelve Trents."
"TWELVE TRENTS!"
"That includes room service, a cleaning crew every morning and afternoon, and full time guard to prevent any valuables to be stolen."
Felix thought about it. That was certainly worth twelve Trents, yet he wasn't sure...
"Are there any other inns here?" Asked Felix.
"There is the golden birch, but they charge twenty Trents and don't have as good of services."
"Alright. Here's twelve."
Felix reached in his sachel, and felt around for his money bag. He grabbed it, reached in, and pulled out twelve Trents. The man eyed the money hungrly, and even licked his lips! Felix handed over the money, and the man said,"BOBBY!"
Then after looking at Felix, he said," By the name, the way is Oliver. I mean he name. The NAME is Oliver. Oliver Keebler."
"Felix. Felix Windbow."
"A great pleasure to meet you, Beelice. BOBBY!"
"Here I am!" said a little boy. He was around ten years old and surprisingly well built. He looked at Felix and removed his bellboy hat. "Good day to you, sir." he said.
"As to you." Felix replied.
"Bobby, show Felix to room 137, and be quick about it!"
"Yes sir!" and then," come along, sir. It isn't to far."
As Felix followed bobby, he turned to thank Oliver, yet he was passed out in his seat. The boy led him up one, two, no, three flights of stairs before they walked into a long hallway. Felix was amazed at how big this tree was inside, and soon realized that Oliver wasn't kidding. There were guards posted outside each of the rooms. They held fearce looking weapons of the likes Felix had never seen. Bobby at one point offored to take Felix's sachel, but he politely refused. When they got to the room marked 137, the boy took out a key and unlocked the door. It wasm a nice room, with a couch, bed, bathroom, and even a sharpening wheel for swords. Felix went over to a string and asked the boy what it was. "Room service" was his reply. The boy gave Felix the key, then left, giving him the chance to nap before he explored the town.

When felix awoke, he was quite rested and was quite filthy. He decided to take a shower, and the water pelting at his back was very refreshing and warm, and he felt warm and fuzzy when he stepped out. He got dressed, strapped on his sword and bow, and decided to explore the city. He went to visit the library, and found a collection of neat novels, yet knew he had to preserve his money fir essentials, which he found at the next place he visited, the convenient store. He didn't buy anything, though, as he should wait for tomorrow to buy them. After he was finished browsing. He decided to find other paces he could visit. One of the people had said something about a sword play arena. Felix asked around, and found it was at the northernmost part of town. It was a long walk, but when he arrived, he was fascinated at what he saw. A huge stadium, the size of three soccer fields, filled with the clanging of swords. Felix payed for entry, and waited to be matched up with an opponent. After fifteen minutes, a person with a pretty nifty looking sword signed in. Felix was paired with him. A referee went with. Before the battle, Felix held out his hand. "Felix" he said.
"Samuel. But you can call me Sam" he said. He drew his sword, and twirled it around some. Felix drew his, and the battle began. Felix charged, yet Sam was quick, and parreyed his attack, then struck. Felix badly had time to block before another blow came. Felix dodged, then leaped at Sam. Sam was tacked by surprise, and raised his sword to defend. Felix slashed again, and Sam blocked again, striking Felix and tearing a gash in his sleeve. Felix winced with pain, and fell on his knees. Sam came in, but that is what Felix wanted. As Sam came in range, Felix jumped high in the air, and before Sam had time to react, Felix used the flat of his blade and whacked it into Sam's knee cap. Sam howled in pain, and slashed at Felix, causing him to jump back and fall off balance. Sam jumped upon Felix, who dodged in the nick of time, and hit the ground hard. Felix lunged. Sam dodged, then in one movement, shot his sword in Felix's grip and flicked, sending his sword clattering to tue ground with a loud CLANG! He then thrust his sword at Felix's neck, a grin on his face and panting like a dog. Felix was grinning as well, and both were sweating like mad. The ref said,"Game! Winner is Samuel!"
Samuel offered his hand to Felix, who took it and lifted himself of the ground.
They both walked out in silence and were walking a ways, when...
"That was a good battle" said Sam. "where did you train?"
"At home" Felix replied between gasps. [I ]With Levi[I ] he thought.
Sam said,"You must have had one heck of a training partner"
"Believe me, I did. Although, he still had much to learn."
"Well, most are that way. Where do you come from?"
"I come from Carabruar town."
"A long way away from home. What beings you this far?"
"I am going to kill the Rulers of the Earth. They destroyed the town, and killed my..." Oops. He had almost told Sam about his brother. He had to be more careful.
"Killed your?" Sam asked.
"My... Horse. A fine steed. His name was Buckwheat. A nice grey one. Strong as a bull. It was a shame to loose him."
"Sorry, pal. Those guys are reckless. Came here 'bout a week ago. Nasty people. Say, wanna come over to my place? I'd be pleased to have you over as a guest." Sam looked at Felix with a hopefully eye.
Felix was about to say yes, untill he remembered. He stopped and said,"Sorry, but I have a room at the inn."
"Golden birch?"
"No, Keebler's."
Sam chuckled," what, the old drunk guy? I swear, if he was any tipsyer, he wouldn't be able to balance himself on his chair! But a nice guy, a real nice guy. If you need to be cheered up, talk with him. Surly you already got a dose of his medicine?"
"Yup. Sure did! He can get kinda' annoying, though."
"Don't I known it." Sam replied with a little smile on his face. "You are still welcome to come over of ya want. That place doesn't serve lunch, and I can cook up a storm. What do ya say?"
"It's an offer I can't refuse," replied Felix.
"Good! Remember how to get to the arena? From there, just go left, then keep going. Mine's last one on the left. Got that?" Sam asked, making wild gestures with his arms that would have made him look like a mad man if you couldn't hear him.
"Yup."
"Good! See you at noon, okay?"
"Sure."
"Later!"
Felix walked back to the inn, to get changed into clean cloths, and at eleven forty-five, he was off to Sam's place.

"I wish to accompany you on your journey," was the first thing that Samuel said when Felix came. After, of course, a greeting and an offer for tea or coffee, which Felix politely declined."I would be honored to travel with you on your way to defeat the army. I have a horse, a fine strong creature that could pull enough supplies for the both of us."
"And...?" Felix asked with curiosity.
Sam knew he had Felix hooked. He said,"I can cook, and I am very good with a sword, if you might gave known. I was tending Ginger, so you only almost beat me because I was tired."
"The bow is my normal choose of weapon. You can attack enemies from a distance and still have time to strike again before the first blow hits."
"I see. Also, I almost forgot, I have Ginger." Sam smiled a wide, mischievous smile. "Ginger is a fighter, no doubt, and hunts for his own meals. Plus, he claims he's got friends out there, though I've never seen any of them..."
"Kickback, who is Ginger?"
"Let me introduce you." Sam said.
Ginger, as felix found out, was a Griffin, a large creature, part lion, part eagle. And this one was amazing! He was obviously young, though, and Felix asked how old he was.
"He's still just a baby, yet he does get his own food. Also, just so ya know, he's too young to fly, and he won't be able to carry us. But he is good company, he is clean, and, he hunts like a pro."
"Well that's handy," Felix admitted. they headed back to to the dining room, and Sam started dishing out lunch, which was a meat cook-out. After they had finished eating, Felix asked,"Are you still sure about coming? The road will most probably be dangerous, and you may die."
"Rather die on the road than die sleeping in a chair!"
"Cool! It will be nice to have some company on the road. After that hydra I met on the road, it would b..."
Sam's eyes grew wide."What did you say? A Hydra? Where did you see that?"
"On the road coming here, like I said. It's okay, though. I shot it with an arrow. It's dead."
"You killed a hydra? That's something! I'll bet even the most trained swordsman and the most ferocious beast would fall short of the hydra. I can't believe you killed it!"
"Well," said Felix, who was enjoying the flattery, yet wanted to keep the conversation moving. "we should get a head start on the day tomorrow. Meet me with your things at the gate tomorrow at around five in the morning. Good?"
"Fine by me! But do we have to leave so early? Don't you think that it could wait 'till seven?" asked Sam.
Felix answered," Don't I wish. But the Rulers of the Earth are already ahead of us, and we need to try to cach up with them."
"And, uh, what will we do when we catch up with them?"
"We destroy them," Felix said bluntly." Before they get anywhere else."
There was an akward pause. After a while, Sam finally broke the silence.
"Well, see you tomorrow, then."
" Tomorrow, then." said Felix, snapping out of his trance. and walked back to the inn.
