1. Hydrogen
The bubble flew up
To the sky without much weight
How far can it go?

2. Helium
The sun shun brightly
But in a few thousand years
The sun will go blunt

6. Carbon
Rolling stones gather
No algae; but what about
Charcoal (It will burn)

7. Nitrogen
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! BOOM!

8. Oxygen
It is not much known
But do you know that Oxy
Can form *gasp* acids

10. Neon
An element
That vibrantly glows orange
The new electric

12. Magnesium
‘Click’ says the camera
And a photograph slipped out
It smells of fireworks

13. Aluminium
The clanging upstairs
Is because of the metal
Used to wrap your food

15. Phosphorus
It so bright, so please
Close all windows; or maybe
It was phosphorus…

16. Sulfur
What a beautiful
Brimstone you are! Oh wait, you’re
Burning bright blue! Help!

17. Chlorine
Ouch! That atom burnt
My skin! It’s in the water!
Oh wait, it’s just gas 


20. Calcium
My bones felt very
Strong after I drank this milk

Titans, we destroy

It’s so colourful
And bright like that looooong rainbow
Except that it’s hard

He hunts for our blood…

Wow I really liked this! It's such a creative way to think about something as dull as chemistry! (I was never much for science in school...) I also really like your use of haikus, I think it fits the subject really well.

The only thing I can really think to comment on is sometimes there are weird things like this: It%u2019s so peaceful (not!). Is it intentional? I don't think so. Maybe it's something with your computer?

This is AWESOME! Great way for some students to remember the elements if they need to. Students in high school or college. Too bad they can't all rhyme but still a great job. I can't think of anything to add for you to improve it but the other reviewer said where it shows those symbols &00a kind of type. I'd say maybe it was where you pasted it in and they were actually apostrophe's or something. Good job.

Ingenious. Really. Made me laugh out loud sometimes. This was truly awesome. I could do some spell check/grammar check, but I can't be bothered right now, sorry. I'd much rather enjoy these poems one more time.

Wow, errr, you are amazing. xD Okay, so maybe all the lines and haikus didn't sound as tight as the others, but I was truly entertained by this and I couldn't help being awed at your genius while I was reading. I think your computer messes up the apostrophes or something, though, so just for the sake of clarity, you might want to fix them.

I wish I was more familiar with all the elements so I could understand some of the haikus better, but I still liked this a lot. Especially platinum, gold, and silver made me laugh.

Please write more.

I really did like this. There is one problem though.. Helium makes balloon float not Hydrogen. o.O I just thought you might like to know.
Other than that, I think you should keep writing!

If I'm not mistaken, Helium is in a balloon, and hydrogen is in stars.

But I got a C in chemistry, so I'm probably mistaken...but I swear...

I'm usually not the type to leave short reviews...

Nitrogen is actually a rather stable chemical as N2, so I didn't get that at first. It's only reactive under certain combinations.

I think you mean to have Helium and Hydrogen switched, because Helium is the inert gas that is used in balloons while Hydrogen is the main fuel of the stars.

Chlorine gas is actually really deadly...not sure if you knew this or not from your stanza.

Plutonium and Thorium ought to join Uranium, especially Plutonium.

Oxygen is typically used in bases, actually, as it's a reducing agent.

Anyway, just a couple of thoughts! Love the science in poetry bit.

Hi I like this! I recently posted a haiku too over here.

I'm not very good at science, but I did enjoy this. So, why is nitrogen booming? I'm sure it has other properties. Like I know it helps plants grow when it is there in soil.
And why are there those % and letters?

Well, don't mind the 'serious' nitpicks since we all know this is supposed to be comedic. By the way, I love the title. I really had fun reading this poem haiku!

I love this idea, and it would look great on a poster that literary students could put on their walls. I don't know much about haikus though, and have only attempted one or two. Still, awesome idea. And props for having taken it so far.

I enjoyed these poems with glee. I love chemistry and it made me and my friends (who were reading over my shoulder) laugh. Hydrogen goes boom. Hehe...and so does uranium.

I would love to see more of these haikus but with the elements at the far bottom of the periodic table (i.e Californium or Einsteinium). Those would be so funny if you worded them right.

Like the reviewers above me said, I think you got Hydrogen and Helium mixed up.
When I saw the symbols I freaked out and thought it was my Ipod. Then, I realized it wasn't just me.
Also, this would be a great way for students to learn the elements in an interesting and not dull way.
