An Open Letter to Nate

I like what Tiff has to say above. I don't think that this is much to get worked up about, but I do think that everyone would benefit from a happy pill.

Things between real life and even on YWS have gotten too hectic for me, and a Mod Fight Club isn't helping.

After all, we all have issues within our own crews (I know I do), but bringing them to the public eye isn't going to resolve anything.

I'm sorry that this isn't working out for you, but couldn't this have been brought to light in a different way? I'm not saying that I don't agree with you, because I do completely. Things on YWS have just gotten a bit too hectic to handle with everything else going on in my life, but this fighting is scary and like the others have said, I think we can work this out.

I'm not even sure which side I agree wih right now but it's good to have it all out in the open at last. Frankly, my crew (Lit. Misc.) are really fed up of cleaning up the mess the rest of you guys make. And its gotten a lot harder since Ben deserted to the ranks of None Fiction of course, but what can you do? We're coping.

If you want to quit, that's fair enough. I'm sure there are plenty of others just waiting to be drafted in.

I'm sorry, I don't want to fight this in public - in fact, I don't want to fight it at all - but it's this kind of attitude that has people annoyed right now. Maybe you guys should consider why this is happening instead of retaliating in that sense.

Kamas, you would leave poetry crew to just Persy and me, even when Lily's on hiatus. But I shouldn't be surprised. You're just following your precious little idol out the door. I'm tired of it, so I'll be honest. Everything you do--from reviewing to your mod policies--is just a carbon copy of Galerius, so your leaving now should be no exception. Take some time while you're demoted and learn some communication skills that don't personify cruelty.

Lumi, get off your high horse. You think because you got the color you're the ruler of the lands, but honestly, your egos been bugging me for ages. Get over yourself, and stop thinking we're all the same 'scum.' All three of us have our own reasons for doing this, Gale just helped us realize them.

This needs to not be a thread about personal attacks. Regardless of the frustration, forum rules still stand. Members, especially staff, shouldn't be reduced to insulting one another in a public thread. If you're going to post here, it should be constructive--or at least touching on the original topic, rather than degrading into mud-slinging.

You're better than this. There are reasons you'd been chosen as Junior Moderators/Moderators, and you're definitely not showing those traits right now.

Oh great, now I can't wait to be stuck moderating fiction AND poetry now that you've gone and jumped ship too, Kamas. And you know I'll get stuck with that, fiction crew always gets stuck cleaning up after the rest of you.

This is, in my opinion, a little immature. If you didn't think being a moderator would be work, what did you think it was going to be? Fun? Sure being a moderator is a privilage, but it is also a job. One that can cause emotional stress too. Im sorry that you have come to this conclusion, but are you sure that this is YWS's fault, rather than the Evi person?

Hah, well wow I'm going to feel out of place saying this, since I'm no mod. And I haven't been the most active, but either way my share:

Let them do it. This is no one's fault, not Lumi, Gale, Eve, Kamas or Bolt. Just let it go, they resigned respectfully, it's their choice and 100% up to them.

I know mods are a huge deal because they're what keep the site going and making sure everything is okay, but let's not forget what we're on YWS for. Not to mod, or start debates, but to write and get reviews.

That's all I have to say.

This is beginning to get immature now, even if I do agree with some stuff that's been said. It's stupid that people are letting this get all public though, if you ask me. I don't know what you guys think this is achieving, but seriously, chill out. Fair enough, a lot of things do get on my nerves when it comes to the site, and this is only making things worse. I've been thinking of taking a break from the site anyway due to personal stuff, and this is only making me want to do so even more. It's like a load of you are out to purposely screw things about. You need to stop acting like little kids.

Someone needs to lock this, I reckon, and leave it like that because this immaturity is stupid now. Take it to PMs or something.

YWS can do better than airing its dirty laundry.
