Good afternoon, darlings.

Allow me to formally introduce myself as KarmaWave, a new arrival in this little corner of the web. The guidelines said that I should say something about myself here, so that is exactly what I'll do.

I am an undergraduate Rhetoric study at an obscure university of which you've never heard the name. I have been writing poetry since I learned to describe a dandelion as more than just yellow and itchy. I'm heavily into the music scene, and I'm an avid adorer of 1920's-1950's music.

I'm old-fashioned and like sun dresses. Lucille Ball is my idol. I do have high expectations of this site, you know. I'm rather tired of visiting place after place and finding nothing but dried-up, same-old-same-old poetry and prose with crisp, dried edges and yellowing pages. I'm fond of Greek imagery in poetry.

Halleluiah! Someone else who would describe any type of flower (I'm not picky, really) as something other than pretty! Itchy is actually rather accurate, so. I think I would approve of just that description alone.

Anyway! Me not being entirely relevant aside - welcome to YWS! If you have any questions, or need anything 'round the site, hit me up! Hope your first impression of us all holds true!

Hiya!

WELCOME TO YWS! This place is epic. Honestly. So you write poetry, huh? That's cool and I'm sure you'll see that we don't have the same old same old boring crap every other writing website has. We have monkeys. And a bunch of extrememly amazing poets who put me in awe everytime I read something by one of them (I hope that made sense). Sadly, today is Review Day and you can't post any literary works until it's over in about 200 minutes. What you can do though is review! :) Reviewing gives you points which you need to post any type of literary work on YWS and it also helps you become more well-known around the website.

You should definitely enter the Poetry Pairs contest, even though it's over the fifth of April. I'll get a link in a minute. topic77225-45.html There's the link :)

PM me if you have any questions and once again, welcome to YWS!

wow... just one question.. are you real? Sinatra is my favorite artist of all time, and I much prefer the jazzy old timey singing of th 20s - 50s era to todays modern junk. you are one of the first people I've ever met who agrees. and by the way, I think girls are beautiful in sundresses, and it depresses me daily that most don't wear them.
anyways, welcome to YWS, I think the site will certainly live up to your expectations, as there are so many things for inspired young poets and writers to do here. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do, and if you need anything PM me and I'll be sure to oblige any request. P.S. if you want to message me some suggestions of music you listen to I would be very greatful, as I'm always open to new artists, and I really haven't heard anything from the 20s-50s I didn't like. have fun! your friend,

if anyone wants a review, post on my profile and I'll get to it in a couple days.

Welcome to YWS, KarmaWave. ^^

Your username had me cringe for a second. But anyways, I hope you enjoy this site and I would really want to read some of your poetry works. Though I'm not that kind of person who reviews great in that area, still I love reading it. So, let me know if you want anything or a friend. :D

Write away.
