Hey everyone!

Today I felt like drawing again, and especially like drawing an old time film star, because I think they're lovely. So here's Grace Kelly, the Princess of Monaco.

ps. I don't have a scanner, so I had to use my camera... it made some of the lines a bit harsh, but I hope you won't mind.

Aww, Dems, this is so lovely and I adore Grace Kelly's classic beauty. My only real comments/suggestions (take them as you will) are rather minor actually and could be a result of the camera scanning. The first is that her hair seems very much like a wig because of how clean the line of her forehead is. The other thing I wanted to mention had to do with her shirt which seems very much like an after thought as it has so little detail in comparison to her hair and her face. But the details you put into things like the shadows in her hair are stunning and make this a spectacular image. :)
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

This is excellent! I only have a few thoughts to write up, partly because this is so good, and partly because I really SHOULD be doing homework right now.

Her teeth are extremely prominent; this often happens when you outline each one separately. I would reccomend having softer lines in between each tooth, and darkening the bottom of all the teeth. Otherwise, the smile looks almost creepy. It isn't NEARLY as prominent here as it often is, but you might consider just barely lightening it.

Second, as lily mentioned, the hair almost looks like a wig. People's hairlines, while they often look very defined, are not. They're kind of gradual and there are usually sparse little bits under the hairline. You might also consider adding some hair to the sides, next to her face, though you almost undoubtedly have a model, so accuracy on that account takes precedence.

Overall, besides these two nitpicks, awesome job. Everytime I see something new by you, it just blows me away. Great job. :)

The face is wonderful. You really nailed the eyes. I love it. Your shading was beautifully done for the most part. My only critique, the wrap that she's wearing looks like it was scribbled on. You should have added the same amount of detail there as you did for the rest of the sketch. Other than this though, I think you did a wonderful job. I did a drawing of Marilyn Monroe that came out looking similar to this. I love artwork of old stars typically. This has that same vintage feel to it. Although I have no idea who Grace Kelly is. Great job! :D

Nice, O love Grace Kelly's great classic looks and I also love your drawing. You have done a very very good job, that i must admit, I doubt that I could have done that well and I'm in no way a bad draftsman. Amazing, really great work!

Now, since I've finished with the unhelpful praise i will get down to business. truthfully there isn't much wrong with the picture. I have forgotten exactly how Grace Kelly looked but i can see that it is well proportioned and generally well drawn. Kudos to you on the nose. The teeth are a little prominent and a little harsh but it's no big deal. What bugs me more is the fact that some things are missing, like the dent above her lip and the tear duct muscle things at the side of the eye but then again it could be just the picture. The neck and below is a little rough, i suggest you do a little work on those areas. Also the shading is rather harsh and blockish in some areas, i suggest using different types of pencils and maybe a blending stump. The hair is quite good, but i just get the feeling it's lacking a something, maybe more detail and definition. but it is really boring drawing hair.

anyway... Great work! i hope to see more of your art!

Aw man this is neat!

I am an aspiring artist. I love painting and .. well.. basically anything that does not involve pencil work. My pencil skills are a little shaky.

I love your shading of the hair and the light shades on the face. One thing i can never get right is drawing faces.

This piece would look lovely if it had a background or if it had some composition.

Do you do only pencil or colour as well?

Brilliant art, again!

Hey there.
This is really, really good. I am a big Grace Kelly fan so I loved this. I love all the detail of it. You capture all her grace a beauty perfectly.

I would recommend adding some colour to this, like red lipstick or her signiture blue eyes. Besides that, very good.
I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, Sir, because I'm not myself you see.

This is pretty interesting. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it seems like the lines are too... perfect. You are drawing a human. Are humans perfect? Absolutely not! When you make the lines on a persons body too straight it just seems, unrealistic.

I kind of think its a little weird how her shirt just ends tho! maybe you could try to make that fade out a little better?! it just seems a little funny to me that's all!! also her eyes look kindof dark! I don't know about you but I might like to see some sparkle of light on her eyeballs?! like reflections or something you know what i mean!!

But I still thing this is really good! And your model is very pretty too lololol! But srsly this picture knocks my socks of even tho i'm not even wearing socks! ... at least I don't think I am!!
