A month later…

I’ve started to get stretch marks around my thighs and belly, it looks really bad but I consulted my pharmacist and he said I should try oil to make them go away.
So I did and every time I rub it on, it makes me feel greasy. But it seems to be working. Another thing I seem to be noticing is that I’m a lot bigger than most women who are seven months pregnant. A different midwife told me that it’s normal that I’m bigger, because I will obviously be bigger because I’m having twins. She didn’t need to state the obvious.

I was looking for a movie to rent at Video 368, there was only me, some old lady and a ten-year-old looking at porn (the guys who run the shop are very careless) when one of the twins jabbed me with it’s elbow and I let out a yelp. It was really embarrassing because it was so quiet in there and I just screamed in the silence. They all stopped and stared, so I put the movie I was looking at back on the shelf and made a run for it.
I’m never going to be able to go in that shop ever again. The shame.

Today, I had a cramp in the top of my legs and it made me walk like a penguin, so I stayed in all day.
But Kelsey came round with her niece, Scarlet, for me to babysit. She wore a pink, sparkly ribbon in her hair with a matching dress and black shiny shoes. She looked adorable and I was so love-struck.
“My sister is ill, so she said maybe you could babysit her to give me a break. And besides, you need the practise.” she looked at Scarlet, and sighed. “Good luck,”
I frowned, very confused. Why did she say that? The question is why did she say it like that? Scarlet looked so cute and loving, carrying her brown fluffy bear in the palm of her pale hands.
Scarlet then barged past me and David who was standing behind me and stomped into the living room.
“Where’s your dog?” she snapped.
“Er… We haven’t got a dog, Scarlet,” I said, closing the door.
“Well. I want a dog! Aunty Kelsey told me you have a dog, which is the only reason why I came here,” she barked. What a cow!
“Urm…” I glanced at David, who was fishing out the ice lollies he bought last Friday. “Do you like ice lollies?”
“No! I hate the cold! You are the meanest bitch I’ve ever known. And the fattest,” she grinned, evilly. Ooh, I really want to rip that pink ribbon right out of her luscious hair. Damn God for making such cute kids but make their personalities bitchy and evil.
“Hey! Now if you disrespect me again young lady Mr Snuggles will join David’s collection of demented teddy bears,” David obviously knew I was going to mention it, as he brought down three of the bears. One had its eyes missing and only had one arm, another had no ears and only two limbs and my personal favourite had no body, just it’s head, one eye missing and it’s arms and legs were sewn on to his head. That freaked her out, because she called Kelsey up and she came to collect her soon after.
Laughing in my underpants.

Ever since the incident yesterday, David has been hinting to me about getting a dog. His sister is allergic to dogs so when he was younger David could never have a dog of his own.
He was cutting out ads in the newspaper with stuff saying: Black Labrador puppies for sale and Three boys and four girl chocolate Labradors for sale. When I saw the price, my eyes literally popped out of my head. £345?! The girls where even more dear: £428? I took one look and automatically said no way. His face dropped and he looked really disappointed.
So I gave in. But I made it pretty clear if the dog does something wrong he’ll be paying. (David, not the dog).
“If it rips the sofa up or eats the babies I’ll have him for my dinner,” I ranted. But the joy on his face was wonderful, it did make me feel pleased.

I punched my Mum. I can’t believe I just punched my Mum.
Scenario: my Mum walks up to me in the coffee house and has a right go at me for agreeing to get a dog. Don’t even ask me why she went of the rails about that, because I do not even know. Anyway, she slapped me, saying it’s a dangerous environment for the kids then I lost my temper and punched her. I know, it’s stupid and the police let me off with warning but she made me attack her. Stupid cow, she got the first chance to have an argument and she goes and does it in a public place. She also said I have anger issues. Yeah, okay, somebody how comes and has a go at her daughter for no apparent reason.
I know, she does have a reason, but who’s to judge?
I went home after and cried myself to sleep. It’s horrible how she treats me. It’s almost like she thinks I wont be a good mother.
David’s so sweet, though. He stuck up for me when my Mum sent mean messages to me and he said we’ll delay the dog thing for a while. But instead, I want it quicker now, just to annoy my mother.

Me and David have gone to see the black Labrador puppies that are on sale. They were three boys and four girls. One bounded up to us, licking David’s face. He said this was the one, but heartbroken to find somebody else took it straight away, before we could reserve him.
The next friendliest puppy was this energetic, clumsy pup, who tripped on his own paw.
I want this one, I said to myself. David had his eye on a really snappy one who was barking at the other puppies. Dave begged me to consider him but I wanted the crazy one. I sticked to my guns. He wanted the other so much. I began the actually agree with him.
I got my way. He eventually gave in and we settled for the smallest, but biggest attitude puppy. We shall pick him up on the twelfth.

We had no idea how much this dog was going to cost us. Let alone the 300 pounds we had to spend out, another 200 was spent on dog stuff.
Luckily enough, the babies room is all done and we have all the clothes and toys we need, so that isn’t a bother.
Names. What can we call a boisterous, black Labrador who is a crazy?
“Jimbo?” David suggested. I narrowed my eyes.
“No? Okay then… Devon? Bailey? Cole?” he yawned, looking at the retail stores that gave him ideas.
“Wait, go back.” I ordered, not taking my eyes off the road as I driven through Cornbury Retail Park.
“Cole?”
“No, the other one,” I answered.
“Oh, Bailey?” he replied.
“Yes, I love that name. I can picture us now, screaming his name… I like it,”
“Me too. Bailey it is!” David chanted.
Silence.
More silence.
More awkward silences.
“Why would we be screaming his name?” David asked, breaking the silence.
I glanced at him in a you-are-such-an-idiot kind of look. “Never mind,”

Awww, Bailey is a babe.
Literally.
He’s just so gorgeous, running around frantically, wondering why I have some giant lump on my belly. At the moment, David’s just gone up to the pet store to get a collar for Bailey. He’s mad. Just barking all the time, he’s even started chewing up his bed. (Bailey, not David). But you should see his little face. Now he’s whining at me.
“Shut it you little bastard!” I yell at him. Maybe I do have anger issues…

You know when David asked me if I liked Coldplay? Well, I know why now. He bought me the latest CD. How lovely. I love him. He’s, like, the dream boyfriend. Not because he buys stuff for me. No way. But, he’s just so sweet and kind and… Ugh! I just want to eat him.
Not really.
It’s just an expression when you really love someone.
I think. I’m not to sure.
I should ask someone. ‘Cause I don’t actually know, to be direct.
Oh, just great. If you can’t decided to either have a baby or a puppy, choose the baby. Bailey has just ate all the toilet roll; chewed up my favourite beach towel and one of my bra’s. But the funny thing is, he only got one cup. So now I have one ripped side and one perfectly good side. So. Bloody. Angry.

Took the demented puppy to the vets for it’s second injection today. He would not keep still so I had to pin him down. He yelped a bit, but not much. I couldn’t help but laugh. It’s just so funny to see Bailey being so scared of the vet. She glared at me dirtily.
“You need to have some respect for your puppy, treat it like a baby, if you must,” she stared down at my stomach.
“Does that mean I have to buy diapers for him and let him suck on my nipple for milk?” I joked. I love making other people annoyed.
She stared at me with these dagger eyes. I recognised her from somewhere. I think when I was younger, I used to give her milkshakes but put a balloon inside of it, so when she pushed the straw into it, it would explode all over her. No, I don’t think that was her.
“Your still young, hopefully you’ll learn to treat this dog with some respect,” she snapped, holding Bailey by the scruff.
“Hopefully… so will you,” I retorted, grabbing Bailey and carrying him out. Stupid bitch needs to learn some manners.
So do I.

The babies are really getting on my nerves so I tried to get some sleep as I haven’t had any good sleep since Wednesday. No luck, because Bailey was licking my feet and it wasn’t pleasant, as he still had bits of dog food on his tongue.
What I need is a good bubble bath.
Wow, that dog can climb. He got onto the chair next to the bathtub, and jumped in. Now I have bits of dog food floating about in my bubble bath.
Grandmere called from France. She said the way I reacted to the announcement of Granddad’s death was inappropriate.
“I’m so sorry if you took my reaction to heart. I did, well, kind of love him,” I said. The thing is, he isn’t my proper granddad, you see. He’s my step-dad’s dad. I never thought of him as my real granddad, but maybe because I never wanted too much upset if he ever died. I was only five when my real granddad died, and I cried for months.
“Okay, I forgive you. Now, go have some rest, it’s a big day tomorrow,” she cheered.
“Eh?” I spluttered.
“Big day. Engagement party?” she seemed confused, so was I.
“No, you got it wrong, Grandmere. It’s in September,” I said slowly so she would understand. We’re having it in September because we want to show off our boys.
Yup, you seen right. We’re having twin boys! I couldn’t hold it in any longer. The only thing I am keeping until the birth is the names. We chosen them a while ago but I want that to be a secret.
23rd Of June
My ribs are really sore now. I know it’s one of the boys is pushing up against them and it’s very painful. I can’t wait to get this all over with and see their little faces. But then again, all babies look the same when they’re born. But our boys will look gorgeous, I can tell.
Mum rang, telling me I should apologize for my behaviour. Can you believe that? Because I can’t. I’m not saying nothing to her, not until she says sorry to me first.
David came home early today to comfort me. I was really upset and to be honest, I did feel like just saying sorry and get it over with, but David says that I should stay strong because I’m not the one in the wrong.
Kelsey invited me to her birthday party tomorrow. I’m not sure if I want to go, I mean, there’ll be loads of older men. Like, in their twenty’s or something.
I’m also nervous about bumping into her brother, a couple years ago, before I met David, he cheated on me and then I thought to get revenge, I’d date somebody else. That was how I met Dave. We went out then I dump Olly to be with David. Thankfully, he’s never found out. Yet.
25th Of June
I know it’s wrong of me, but I went to the party. It was the worst, though. Me; Bex and Miranda just stood there drinking orange juice while bobbing to the badly played music. Bex threw up on Miranda’s shoes and Miranda got so drunk she tried to snog me. After that little mishap, I left.
David wasn’t happy when I got home. He looked me up and down and said I was drinking. Which I wasn’t. I think.
Nope, I defiantly wasn’t drinking. I asked Bex today and she said I didn’t even touch a drop. She did though.
“Okay, you didn’t drink, I did, so we’re done here. Now if you don’t mind I’m going to puke,” then I hung up before I could here anything.
26th Of June
I feel so ill today. David said it was because the party worn me out, but I think it was because I was up all night last night, trying to sleep. Because of my giantness, I can’t sleep. Not a wink. It’s horrible, I tried counting sheep, drinking warm milk, nothing. But another reason why I was wide awake was that Bailey was crying all night. I brought him up to bed but he got hold of my slippers.
I heard that the reason why you give young children warm milk is that it puts them to sleep. So I tried it but for some odd reason, nothing.
Maybe it doesn’t work on eighteen year olds.
28th Of June
I went to the toilet fifteen times today. Fifteen times! That’s twice as much as Bailey goes. Speaking of dogs peeing, I consulted my vet (not the one who I gave cheek too) but this new veterinary down the street. They said to always let him out and scold him if he has a poo in the house or pees in the house. So I followed those orders and he seems to be getting the hang of pee in house: bad dog, poo in garden: good dog.
His third injection is on the first of July, and this is when we can take him out for his first walk. I went out and bought a navy blue harness and lead for Bailey and he almost ate it up.

Last day in June, meaning only two more months until our twins are born. It’s scary to think soon we’ll be having two boys in our house and the four (I mean five, if we include Bailey, which we will. Of course) of us will be a proper family. I think it’s struck to David too, because he’s just called his mom that he loves her. Awww, how cute is that? I could never do that, because I basically have a restraining order against my Mum. Or is it the other way round?
It’s starting to feel like summer now, you see loads of young kids playing on the street in their home clothes, because school must be out. I remember when I used to play on the streets, old people hated me. I was so gobby and bitchy when I was young. Now I’ve changed, not quite, I’m apparently still immature according to some people. But David says becoming a mum is changing me into a better person; to be honest, I think it is, as well.
