Calypso

The colouring is awful, I know. Specifically because I did it on MSPaint with a mouse. I tried though xP Hopefully you like it! And if you hate it... tell me what you think ;D I like people tearing my art to shreds. That way I get better!

This is Calypso. If anyones read the Oddessey, you'll know who that is . If not... well google it. Calypso is pretty much a water goddess.

Don't beat yourself up too much about it. You got some really good proportions, and the shading in the hair creates a 3D texture that personally, I can never achieve on computers.

Hey, this is gorgeous! Hate to disappoint, but I really can't tear this one to shreds. The proportions are good, and the facial features are beautiful and elfin. I especially like the tattoos; they add a nice touch. And the fact that you did this with MSPaint makes it even more admirable. Great job!

The first thing that stood out to me were her legs. They're unnaturally skinny, and there's no indication one leg is being hidden by the other (which would allow you to have one leg as a skinny shape) I have thin legs, and my knees are only about half the width of my thigh (at its thickest near my hips); your knees here are a little less than a third of her thigh at the hips. It makes her lower body out of proportion, when you'd done a good job with proportion for most of the work.

The other thing I noticed were her sleeves. There's nothing visible to actually keep the sleeves on her arms— they're loose at the top of her arms and remain loose along their length. If there was some definition by her elbow, and forearm, the looseness on her upper arm would make sense. But without any definition it's hard to know what's keeping her sleeves up.

There's also her waist on the right side. The angle is much sharper and a bit "deeper" (smaller angle) than her left, which makes her look unnaturally angular (the right is semi-realistic; good for a goddess).

Her bust is also a bit off; you have a lot of fullness in the actual fabric, but no fullness showing above the fabric. All it'd take it a little shadow right above the ribbon, I think. Or you leave it as-is, as I'm being rather nit-picky with that comment.

This is actually really good, no joke. I love the colors you chose, especially around her face and hair. They felt really light and.... pretty Excellent job. Oh, and I really like the eyes, too. It looks like they have bubbles in them, which kind of goes along with the whole water goddess thing. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but that's what I saw ^_^

The lines used to outline her body look jagged, like your hand was shaky while drawing them. It's not that big of an issue, but I know that MS paint has the squiggle line feature that would make the lines look a lot cleaner, and you wouldn't have to struggle with the effort of hand drawing perfectly straight lines.

The shading is nice, no complaints on that

My biggest issue is the fact that her stomach is abnormally skinny. It looks like she will have no room for her organs! Especially on the right side, the waist line just kind of juts in at a point. Also, her knees and lower parts of her legs look too small and not very realistic, but I can't give you much advice on how to fix that except look at reference sorry. I would've liked to see her feet, or here's an idea- if you didn't want to draw feet, perhaps make it look like she's standing in water? It'll go with the whole theme and give the picture a nice background

You used MS Paint, eh? Crap program for art, honestly. But for a mouse drawing this is great.
Other reviewers already mentioned the waist and the legs (and problems thereof), so I'll just focus on other things. Don't worry, there aren't many.

Firstly, I noticed the hair. It looks a bit cloudy, actually. Any way of making it appear more like actual hair? But the shadows are amazing.
The sleeves are another obvious problem. Where do they fit?

Another thing - contextual error. Calypso is a daughter of a Titan (parents of the Gods), the Titan Atlas, who holds the earth up by his shoulders. She could be called a nymph at best - stuck on the island of Ogygia caring for heroes who need it. She isn't quite a water goddess, and I don't know what connection the clothes she wears in your picture has with actual Greek costume and what the Greeks thought the nymphs wore. But you are the artist. If you thought an update was in order, then it's up to you.

Keep drawing! I see promise. Try and draw on paper, then scan and adjust contrast and stuff to make it darker. It works, trust me. That's what I do, at any rate.

Personally, i think this is dam amazing for something done on paint with a mouse. I know nothing about digital art but what i do know is the paint is very hard to use! It's very beautiful so kudos to you! The only problem i have is with the proportion. The waist is way to narrow to be realistic and the legs are two thin. Also some of the lines are wonky but considering you used paint...

First off, lemme state that I love this comment of yours! It's a great thing you think that way...better than I am anyway. I take criticism hard but I take it to heart. Getting better at things should be one of your priorities especially if you ever wanna grow up and be a great artist.

I also wanna state that I like her lips. They look kissable and very well done with a mouse! I can't even imagine life without my Wacom Tablet...and I can't even manage to get a good looking face with my mouse D:

One thing though is that her left knee is broken. But can't expect that much out of using a mouse. Whenever you do draw with pencil or tablet, (if you have one, it works with ms paint ) make sure you start off with an under structure. It always helps with humanoid figures. Keep in mind that a woman's shoulders aren't that broad as they are in your drawing. They are more round and feminine also kinda closer to the body. Her belly button is too high and the curves around her ribs and tummy are too pointed, round them out.

Again, it's pretty awesome and well done with a mouse~ A lot better than what I can do with a mouse...I rely too much on my tablet nowadays. I hope I helped a bit good luck and keep on drawing!

Well... I can see how she might be a version of Calypso. She does look rather miserable... maybe it's because there's a starfish plastered to her head? Just joking! This was a really nice drawing -I like her hair... shiny.

Ok, lets just say that anyone who thinks your bad at digital art, is absolutely out of their mind and should be sent to prison for not appreciating art! You are fantastic at this! I am personally unable to draw using a computer mouse, but you have certainly exceeded the limits! Keep creating! It never does get old!
