You left my bruised and bloody body in a life as cold as winter. I was the ice on a deserted tundra. The white world around me flashed by my eyes - moving too quickly for someone like me. A blur of reality is the only sense I had; the only sense you left me.
The shattered dreams and broken promises will scatter like shards of glass and be forever forgotten, just like you. The memories we had, the bittersweet symphony of a life that was almost in my grasp - forgotten. All of it.
There's no sympathy for you; I'm long past that. I despise you now. I hate you. I hate you for everything you've ever done, and everything you've never been able to do. I hate you for leaving me in the freezing rain. I hate you for never supporting me. I hate you for all of the lies and abuse. I hate you.
Day after day, night after night; The drugs didn't impair you - they changed you. You were no longer the one I looked up to - you were no longer my hero. You were the shell of a man; drifting along the sandy shore of a forgotten beach. You had no purpose.
In the off chance that you can read this from the blistering fires of hell, never forget:
You didn't just take my heart, dad; You tore it out of my fucking chest.

Do you seriously hate your dad? Because I'm really feeling your emotions through this poem. I love your poetry: you always make me feel it...it's like magic. Ok, that's weird but anyway...
I like the structure of the poem because it's different; it's in prose form but I don't find anything wrong with that.

Umm...if you really have problems with your dad or anything, I'm free to talk but it's ok if you don't want to.

Keep these lovely poems coming :) (I'm sure you will!)

I feel you. It was good. You do have a talent for making the reader feel it and that is a wonderful talent to have. I am sorry if what you wrote is true. You can always talk to me. I can understand family problems very well. Keep writing!!! :)

You guys can't understand, so dont say you do.

Matthew... this is really good. It is different, like you said, but i like it.
There's nothing else i can really say... i wouldn't change anything about it.

I love you.

PurpleHeart, don't be so quick to judge. Some can relate. Like how my mom is addicted to crack and how she made all these promises she never kept and i loved her but according to her i took away her freedom so she left me on my aunts doorstep and moved to texas. *takes deep breath* some people really can understand, in thier own twisted way. And matt, great job. Nothing to change, because it is perfect.

Also how we fought so much and i had to say things to her like "its hard to trust someone who always let you down" at the age of 7. Some people understand.

Everyone has different outlooks, different experiences, and different personalities. Maybe you do know what I feel - maybe you don't. That's not the point. The point is to feel what I feel through my words, not through your past. This is my writing. Relate it to what you want, but never forget that we are all different, and as PurpleHeart said, no one can truly understand how this makes me feel. You can only understand only how it makes you feel.

True to the fullest power, matt. But remember this;

When you are all alone, crying, broken, and reduced to nothing, it is our experiences that drive us to help you stand again.

I have not one clue as to what made you write this, whar inspired such emotion. But I know why I would have written it, as you said. And so, in this way, I am connected to you, because I have a deeper understanding than "Ive been through it too", as does everyone else. We are all connected with a deeper understanding because of our experiences. And so, we DO feel as you do through your words. Because we always knew. I have the type of disorder that makes me think differently than everyone else. What some find offensive, I may find perfectly acceptable. While everyone thinks of the simplest solution, I conjour up an idea so whimsical its hard to believe it works just as well. I dont know why im like this. Its like a cloud in my head. Something is said or understood or done, and the cloud forms a pattern and I just... know. I just understand. I dont understand what i understand, I just know that I know things I shouldnt be able to know. the things you said arent always true, because i KNOW we are connected deeper than that. I can feel it, recognize it. People dont know why they understand, because they dont think like i do. I see though. We all understand eachother through our unknown links. And even if what i say angers you, as you read, you understand that it makes sense. That you know exactly what i mean, even if your mind believes otherwise.

Im sorry if i upset you. -Vee

I hope everyone's safe and sound and has some potatoes in the pantry.
