This one comes from the changes I have suffered since I 'Grew Up' or I'd rather say, since I saw the real world... Hurtful and cruel real world... Please help me improve... because it needs improvement....:)

Innocent Childhood

First word and then first step
My life’s journey began
Nursery and then KG
In the school assembly I sang.
That’s the beauty of an innocent childhood.

When dad went for courses
Loneliness I used to suffer
When he came I gave him a hug
He gave me chocolates and a teddy bear.
That’s the beauty of an innocent childhood.

How easily fooled I was
Fell in for kind words
Lying on the grass
I watched the flying birds.
That’s the beauty of an innocent childhood.

Going to the park
And flying high on the swings
Spreading my arms around me
Like an angel’s wings.
That’s the beauty of an innocent childhood.

Every person I met
Was a friend and the best
Life gave me problems
But I aced all its tests
That’s the beauty of an innocent childhood.

All of a sudden before I knew
My life changed its colour
I hoped soon this change will be gone
But it isn’t getting any better.
Gone is the beauty and innocence of my childhood.

People are different now
Life’s test is very hard
Others are trying to hurt me
I always have to be on my guard.
Gone is the beauty and innocence of my childhood.

Definitions are changing
BFF of Best Friend Forever
Has suddenly changed to
BFF of Backstabber Fiend Forever
Gone is the beauty and innocence of my childhood.

My heart is terrified of being shattered
It keeps begging for more protection
The words people use
Are full of abomination.
Gone is the beauty and innocence of my childhood.

“Life isn’t fair”
I heard long ago
To balance all the happiness
I am facing all this sorrow.
Wish I could get back the Innocence of my childhood.
The answers lie within.. You only need to look.. :)

I like this poem , and I can't give you a harsh review because I not good at those. I only can say that you should dig a little deeper and remember how you felt when you realized how cruel this world could be. And then this poem would really improve in my judgement. I like it so far though.

Hey!
I really like this, I can really relate to what you're trying to say. I love the stanzas that rhyme, I think it flows nicely. Even when the poem doesn't rhyme, you do a good job of making your words short yet effective and flowing well!
"Life’s test is very hard" - this is what I would change.

My english teachers always told me to avoid "very." haha. So, now it's kind of like a word that bugs me! You could take out the word all together or replace it with a prettier word. This kind of stopped the flow when I was reading it, but that's just my opinion.

I really like your concept and visuals! Good job!:)
An unknown person once said, "I really have nothing to put for my signature."

Oh right! That person was me!

I'm glad you came up with this concept because it's a sad time when children are suddenly stripped of their innocence from a real world situation, and it's true that we all wish to get our childhood back. Great poem :)

And don't forget it's hydrate or diedrate
