Flower painting

Here is one of my paintings that I haven't finish yet. I will have time to work on it this week, and this is exactly why I'm posting in here. I want you guys to tell me what I could be working on ti make it better.

First off, I know that the bottom petal is too large and I will work on that... Apart from that, I would like your opinion!

This is a really beautiful painting you have here. It's so realistic. All the small lines in the petals, it adds a special touch. And your color choice is perfect. Orange always adds pop. And it goes great with black, and tones and shades of gray like your color choice here. I don't think I actually noticed the bottom petal until I read what you said about it being too big. It's not that disruptive to the eye in my opinion. Artists usually are their own toughest critics. That and sometimes it's not good if you look at the same thing for too long. Fresh eyes will always keep it honest though. (: Good job. I love this. I honestly thought it was photography at first. Sure fooled me! Keep up the awesome work. You seem like a wonderful painter.

I've never painted anything before, but this is really beautiful. I love the shades,but you could make it a bit brighter to REALLY stand out. =p I love it.

I agree with it needing to be just a bit brighter. The darker shades of gray make the flower look a little bit transparent at those spots. But besides that, I can't find anything else wrong. I really like how you went into so much detail with the lines; I would never have that much patience. I bet this is more difficult than it looks, and probably gets boring working with only three colors x) But it's beautiful.

I think this flower is gorgeous! :) Your lines are superb, your color choice works together nicely, and I can tell that you really pay attention to details. The only comment is that it does lack a bit of color. I would suggest using more white and less gray, just to liven it up a bit. Other than that, I love it! Keep them coming! :)

Wow. I mean. WOW. This seriously is a GREAT painting! I love the way you emphasized the detail to shadow and the lighting. The strokes that you did with the paint is MARVELOUS. If I could buy this painting, I'll guarantee you 150% that I would buy it! It really seems to stand out on a latin home. Thanks for posting this.
