Hi, I'm a newbie!

Hello everyone!
My name is Logan and I'm from North Carolina. I decided to join the YRS simply because I LOVE to write and I want to be able to improve enough at it to make it my career! My overall favorite genre to read is Fantasy, but I also love Biographies, Humorous Fiction,and Realistic History. You can ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you that I LOVE to read, but that I'm also very, very picky about what I read. I actually like to read the whole first chapter of the book AT the bookstore before I buy it just so I can make sure I'll fall into it. Because after all, isn't that what reading is for?
Other things I like include listening to music, riding my bike, volunteering, hanging out with my closest friends, and (this may sound weird) but going to school! I just love to learn!
Well, that's about it! I just wanted to share a bit about myself before I jumped into this little "world of writing" here... I can't wait to share my writing with all of you and read some of your works in return!

Fantasy! Yes, my favorite as well... to me it's just so much more enjoyable to write about impossible things, know what I'm sayin'? I like to read too... but, I don't read very fast, so I often quit reading a book when I'm just a few chapters in, because it seems like it's moving sooo slowly... In fact, I was trying to read Fellowship of the Rings this weak, but my God the prologue itself was over twenty pages long!

Logan! I am also from NC. What area are you from? I'm in the Piedmont.
I love fantasy and am actually writing a novel in that genre right now. It's not so much about writing about the impossible for me as is the fact that you have to do your research on almost everything else.
I also love to read, but I'm not as picky as you. If I don't like a book, I feel like I have to finish it anyway, and if it's in a series, I normally finish the whole series.
I used to like going to school and am starting to enjoy it once again. I had some drama throughout middle school that I dropped in highschool.
You'd think I was the newbie and was telling you about myself.

Wow. I have family in Greensboro. I love the Carolina coast. I think it's one of the best things about our state.
