So, this is the first time I've posted on this forum, and I've recently been doing a study on Salvador Dali. And I LOVE his work, so I did some copies of his paintings. (I hope that doesn't count as plagiarism??) I'm relatively new to this posting business so apologies if the pictures are too small or too big or fuzzy or dull or just don't show up. :)
Ok, I just realized how huge they are. If you right-click on them and go to 'open in new window' then you can see how they look, in one go. :)

WOW those were big! I think the purple dots in the 1st picture were a bit to bright and obvious, but otherwise you're a really good painter, you seem to know a lot about his works. You're amazing, you should try your own works. :)

The second one's really good too, but you could have fixed it up so it didn't look as much like a sketch. good job on the legs. You're great at drawing too. :)

So, I'm like a massive fan of Dali, and I think it's awesome that you're studying his style. :) He definitely sets a bar to which all artists can aspire. *fangirly glittering eyes* Ehem. Yes, well, I think these are really nice for being copies of Dali paintings, a daunting task in itself, you captured the style of his pieces nicely I think, and especially in the first, the inspiration is apparent. I love the form of the person the drawers sketch, but I may also be biased since I just love Dali's interpretation of anatomy anyways. ^^'
Well...that was an insanely unhelpful review, but yeah. ;)
I'd love to see what you can do with your own imagination.
*goes to creep on portfolio*
Great work by the by. :)

Nice, you obviously have real talent. But it isn't great to spend so much time coping others art. You should use his influence to make your own inspired works. I have nothing to really say about your works because they ware quite near perfect. But Dali's artwork is more detailed( not that yours is worse) than yours, you both have different styles and that shows. Yours a much more sketchy and organic.
try doing your own stuff!
I to love Dali but i would never have the guts to copy him. Also I prefer Magritte, over him.
