Firearris, I will make you the following bet:

1. That you can not produce 3 chapters (2500 words each) by the end of March 2011.

I make the following proposition:

1. That the loser of this bet should have their username changed for a week, so that they will be known as "The Weasel" I shall make this change, with full notification in advance and change it back a week from the time it was changed.

2. That the loser of this bet should welcome a newbie and give them a gift.

3. That the loser of this bet should place in their signature something which identifies their usual username (e.g "My name is Griffinkeeper and I lost a bet.)

4. That the loser will maintain their usual activity during the week, without avoiding YWS.

5. In the event that Griffinkeeper loses the bet, he must review all three of the chapters.

Finally, these are the procedures that will govern your winning:

1. You post a link of three chapters (2500 words each) done by yourself.

2. The work must be posted on YWS by before the end of March 2011.

3. The work must not be plagiarized, or written by anyone other than Firearris, though may be grammatically checked by others prior to posting.

4. All disputes regarding this bet will be arbitrated by a member we both agree upon.

You may accept, decline, or negotiate these terms.

I accept this bet, except to negotiate/suggest adding one more thing. The loser also has to change their custom title to "Was Tamed" or "Was Tamed by (name)".
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard appears "We have weasels now!"
[Firearris] 10:45 pm: askes the guard for the weasel!
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard gives Firearris the Weasel.
[Firearris] 10:46 pm: aquires the weasel and renames it "Cat"

Take that, Lumi.

Yes, you can do it! :D
This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that’s barely out of its diapers. I’m old, Dean. Very old. So I invite you to contemplate how insignificant I find you.

I am nothing
but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted
apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's

that's just a bit too sweet.

I claim victory, for the following reasons.

As of posting, I have calculated your word counts to be thus:

Chapter 1: 2475
Chapter 2: 2487
Chapter 3: 2490

This is short of the required word length (2500 words per chapter.)

Further, I have analyzed the writing and found it to be full of infinite sentence loops, with multiple repeated words. Using the word really 24 times in the first chapter is eight times what would be considered reasonable. In the second chapter, 1173 words are just the word really repeated over and over. In other words, almost half of the length of Chapter 2 is the same word. Chapter 3 was only slightly better, there were only 863 repetitions of the word really. All told, the word really appeared in infinite sentences 2060 times.

Ultimately, this bet was to help you get started with writing a story; whether or not you won. It seems like you were more interested in winning the bet than actually writing something for the sake of writing it. So, in that sense the bet failed.

Griff's word counts are confirmed by Microsoft Word. Sorry, Fire!
I make my own policies.
