Some editing

Hi I managed to get a quick snapshot of some forest and it somehow reminded me of twilight. Even though I'm not a huge fan of twilight I think some of the stuff they captured was truly amazing. So anyway when I got home I uploaded the photo onto the computer and when I saw it on the computer I was quite impressed with how it looked. So I decided I would have a go at editing it. The first picture you will see below is the original picture the ones below that are all edited. I am quite interested to know which one you think looks best. I'm hoping that they look realistic because I was trying to keep them fairly realistic and trying not to warp them into something to alien like, if you understand what I mean. Please let me know and enjoy the photos. :D

Hello,
I doubt you will take the time to look at this signature, you are all busy people and I respect that, but if you do know this. Every bit of criticism on my writing has helped and every bit of advice you have given me has also helped. So thank you, for everything.

Hey CuteJackRussel,
These pictures are great! My favourite photo is the second one, but they all look wonderful and realistic. Keep up the good work! :D

I love these photos, and Twilight :D
I absolutely love Twilight and
I would say these remind me of Twilight a lot!
I liked the second and fourth one because
for the second one it defines the green colour of the forest
while still blending the background.
The fourth one because it was just truly amazing xD
Keep snapping...? :D

The third one is definitely no. The last one is kinda okay, but it's the second one that I liked the most.
None of them show the sky very well.
If I were you, I'd correct the bottom half to the level of that second picture, then correct the top half so that the clouds are a little more detailed and visible. The sky might be peaking out, though, and if it is, then it'll be impossible to fix.
Hope I helped!

Hi!

Wow, your editing is really good! It's amazing how you've managed to convey completely different seasons/weather from just changing the temperature or brightness of the photo :)
The third one looks so pretty, just like an old polaroid ^^

My only qualm is with the first one, maybe the sky is a bit too blue? The green and yellow work really well in such vivid colours and make it look fresh and whatnot but the blue pushes it into semirealism... if that's what you were going for (an Annie Leibovitz sort of style?) then that's awesome cause she rules, and you can get a a relly cool kind of fantasy-ish look from extreme colours like that... ^^" but in terms of just brightening to get a sunshine effect maybe there's a way you can select which areas to brighten so it remains realistic?

Hope this helped, and I love them all!

Left alone, it does remind me of Twilight, too, just because of that calm, mysterious kind of atmosphere... I don't necessarily like the first edit, it seems to bright and faked - particularly in the background. The sky is too sudden, too bright... The third looks like a poor attempt at a painting, I'm sorry. The sepia tone is my favorite. It's not something most people do nowadays, and it's very classy, almost natural...as if it's an old photograph preserving a precious moment...

The forth one is definitely the best. One thing I don't like about it though is that the cloud turns right into sky. Play more with that sky. I would love to see what it would look like if you only edited the top half. Make it pop out. In the second photo it is a bit much, especially next to those bright trees, but If you softened it the blue would actually work. If you must edit the bottom half edited separately.

Hope I helped,

A. S.

Wow, loving the editing! It is very Twilight! I especially like the last one, with the warm sepia tones. Well done :D
