thoughts clouded my mind

like paint from a brush

diffusing in clear water

clouding it

tarnishing it.

my veins pulsed

my blood rushed

i shook, silently

but violently

like an aeroplane in turbulence

storm clouds veiled my subconscious.

caught in a mindless trap

i spinned

was it me? or my thoughts?

i swallowed one

i swallowed two

i swallowed threefourfive

the vacancy sign once dull and unlit

now flickered

like a burnt out motel

the thoughts slipped away

the storm clouds were blown away

by stray winds

the begrimed water drained.

the aeroplane had landed

or had kept flying it's own path?

empty and vacant

tranquil and windless

sad and spiritless.

is this sanity

or is this death?

I was rather reminded of Sylvia Plath. I love Plath.

Just don't stick your head in any ovens.

This is brilliant! I tried to search for something to critique but I just couldn't come up with anything negative. I love it. I felt like I was tumbling down with each image...

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can home or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
