I found you the day of Halloween,
I brought you home to start the dream.
We had much fun and a lot of luck,
you started to rear but dared not to buck.
I took you to the trainer, to break your habit,
I was upset with you and I had had it.
But you came back to you and we started to win,
we competed all around, you were hardly in your pin.
You were everyone’s favorite and took all the pride,
we were going to state, I was sure of your stride.
But you went back to the trainers to learn one more thing,
things were going great ‘till I got that phone ring…
You laid in my arms and died peacefully,
I cried and cried, things were not heavenly.
Things are still wrong and will never be the same,
I still cry over you, we never knew the blame.
I want to hug you one last time,
Or even see another pick of you in our prime.
I wish you were here for you never knew,
You were the best partner ever, Spencer,
I love you.
