Inside her shell

Expressing oneself is a necessity in this life. So when she was sent to her high school (where uniform had to be perfect and hair had to be un-dyed and perfect, as well) she couldn't cope.

And when the one place where she could be truly herself was taken away from her, she couldn't cope.

And when the only friends she'd ever known were tragically torn from her reach, she couldn't cope.
And when all these things happened at once, she fell apart.

She climbed inside her shell, trapping all the things from her previous life that she could in with her.

Then she met someone.

More someones.

These people opened her world again in a matter of days, and introduced her to herself. Her real self. She scrapped her shell, and broke free whenever she could, even more than before. And when he turned her down, they were there to help her stand up again, even when they weren't aware something was wrong.

A/N the weirdest thing about this poem was that I wrote it before I moved into high school. The period during the holidays there was rough for me. This was my kind of self proficising attempt at being positive. And guess what? it came true.

this was a beautiful poem, but of course reality for you (:
uhh just one thing i picked up i think during the start you used ' she couldn't cope' 3 times... it kinda stopped the flow
but other than that it was really good (:
