I googled "writing", I believe. You see, my sister wrote a poem when she was 12 and she got a letter saying that some people wanted to publish it and stuff when she was 14. I wanted to beat her for once.. Haven't achieved that yet, though. And I wanted some useful critiques, instead of my brother's very unhelpful, "Hah. You can't write, and that's that.". So here I am.. Home.
I wrote somthing big, asked for editing help from friends, got none. Googled for a writing site, and came up with this one. It's worked (sort of) so far.
Ready and willing to rip your work to shreds! (That is if you want it) Check out my "will review for food" thread.
Nate, the founder was a fellow member over at The Young Writer's Club, which I was pretty active on about 4 years ago, when YWS started. I decided to come check it out.
I googled 'writer's website' because I was looking to improve my stories and also read other people's works.
I picked this website because it seemed to be the best (YEAH! GO YWS!) and the age group was suitable for me. I couldn't imagine going to a website full of adult writers who were probably 40+ years old or something. Too scary for me. And I could also makes friends here, from all over the world.

Um... Writer's Digest, I believe. It was listed as one of he top 100, and the age group fits. I have a problem with remembering how I started going into things.
There once was a cat. He wasn’t particularly fat. Fuzzy was his favorite mat. And really, that was that.
Oh, but did you really think so? Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show! And as for how far this tale will go… Well, even the cat doesn’t know.
I actually did the same as Meep, only I googled "young writer's", because I was looking for a contest to enter my work. I was so intrigued by the description of YWS on google that I was so inclined to click on it. Ever since, I have been recommending YWS to all my friends and I know many of them have accounts.
Got YWS?
You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.
I wrote a story for my school's Young Author Competition and won first place. Everybody told me it was the best book they'd read in their entire life and that I was a genius.
A month later, I reread it. It was horrible. No plot, flat characters, and, even though the writing was okay, I faced the fact that nobody had the bravery to tell me the truth instead of just saying it was great. So, I googled. And here I am.
"Let's eat, Grandma!" as opposed to "Let's eat Grandma!": punctuation saves lives.
A very roundabout way, I found a facebook group, got bored and actually looked at it properly. I then clicked on the website which was off line, found a link to a blog. Thought it looked interesting but got annoyed because I couldn't find anyway to join (didn't realise it was just a blog). Googled the actual site and ta-da here I am! Phew.
I typed song lyrics in google and it had no idea what I was talking about. The "You" in the song lyrics picked up on the "You" in the young of the website so I clicked it since I love to write and read, so here I am. It's fate, right?
