I was actually, in my IT class and needed to find a passage of sample writing, which in the end I didn't use and instead wrote my own.

Then I decided to join. ;)

Can't wait for my one year anniversary.

I have Shafter to thank! THANK YOU SHAFTER!
We were both on this other site and she recommended this to me. I am so glad I took her advice:)

Teh Wozzinator told me about it.
Admiration: Our polite recognition of another's resemblance to ourselves.

Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

Confidence: the feeling a person has before he fully understands the situation.

Shin: A device for finding furniture in the dark.

Somebody named Crimson from another forum posted a link once, and I checked it out. I couldn't fax in that permission slip, we don't have a machine, and it suddenly let me in. How weird.

I searched Google, because I wanted a place where people actually gave detailed, helpful reviews, not just 'I loved it!'

I'm very grateful to Google. :P

I actually found it a while ago. I'm just posting in here now, though, because I've always been too lazy before.

I found it on Google. Was looking for somewhere where people would give me more detailed feedback than the "reviews" I get on Fictionpress ("Wow, this is so good! Write more!") so I just threw in all the writing-related keywords I could find until I came up with this site.

I had just switched to my ELT writing class and my teacher was showing us this thing that said 101 tips to be a better writer (from this site) and so I decided to join. Yay new ELT class, because I would be dead (or dying) of bordom.
I realized that I said I'd be gone for only two weeks...but I was gone for much longer.I hope to stay on this time. :)

Google (hee)

I was looking for a site where I could post my work & also interact with others, so I found YWS.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

I just looked up young writers at school one time. Then, this was one of the first results, but it's banned at school(No idea why), so I just figured I'd look it up when I was at home. I kept putting it off, then finally went on here at like, 12 AM. I signed up the next day. ^,^
