Here is my auto portrait. It was my practical exam for my art class this year, and I just got it back, so I though I should post it. :) It's acrylic on paper, and the light is bad... It's reflecting on the paper, and I am aware that it's hard to see the background at certain places, but the other pictures were more bad then this one. Plus, the eye may look a little weird and wide, and it probably is, but it's based off a photo, in which I tried hard to make my eyes look big... Yes I know. Anyways, have fun tearing it apart. :)

This is a very good portrait! great shading, that's probably the best quality. In my opinion, One shoulder looks bigger than the other, but that could just be me. But other than that, I think it looks great!

Nice, certainly better than anything I could do, I'm terrible with anything other than pencil . Personally i don't have any issues with it but i will try to squeeze some critic out.
1. Acrylic on paper? Personally i don't like to use acrylic on paper, it soaks though a bit. Yes, this isn't really critic. What paper did you use?

2. I don't know what you look like but personally the hair looks 'to neat' and therefore unrealistic. See by the side of your face the line is straight and clean. Just to neat for me. Also you hair hands strangely rather unnaturally puffed up. This all contrasts with the end of your hair near the shoulders which is more organic and natural.

3. Your shoulders aren't wide enough. i think it's just the way you where holding the camera when you took the picture. but it looks to compact compared to the neck which you go perfectly.

4. Also the necklace does not hang naturally from your neck. It looks like it begins in the middle of your neck making it look short.

5. Also maybe eyelids and more definitional around the eye would help. Your face also looks a a tiny tiny bit wonky ( the chin) and the shadow is to concentrated on the bottom on the face, what about the cheek bones? Also your forehead is to read which doesn't look right. But then again I don't know what the pic looked like.

Fantastic work anyway. Very very good job. I have really just blabbed about nothing. Your painting is excellent. Sorry about the spelling and grammar.

this is pretty. i like the butterfly necklace (the first thing i noticed!) and the large eyes. i don't know if that's shock or just something natural. haha. very creative and talented. keep it up. :D
You've got the key to my heart..but have you forgotten about a duplicate?
Sorry. I've already given it to someone else.

It feels like it's. . . missing something, I guess. More emotion maybe. It's really good though, you did a good job on details like the eye. did you cover the other eye up so you wouldn't have to draw it? that would have been my reason! The head looks a bit tilted also. Overall, I bet you got an A! I can see you tried hard in this. The hair's alright, maybe a bit messier. Good colors also, they stand out.

Wow. This looks amazing. The eye is what catches me, but I've been told all my artwork circles around the expression in eyes so...this doesn't surprise me. Anyway, I really like it. Now, for some tips:

The necklace doesn't lay naturally. I'm not sure, but it just seems like the perspective is a bit off. I know you can't go back and fix it, but try and think about the body's curves when putting objects on them. Also, try to add a bit more detail to the neck.

Second, the bangs look a bit too perfect.

That being said, all this is from a picture, so who am I to judge? Anyway, like I tell anyone who does human/humanoid art, anatomy books are the most amazing thing since sliced bread. Then again...it was from a picture... Eh, don't feel bad, anyway. I defy anatomy books personally.

So, anyway--great job! I must check out your other work. :D
My SPD senses are tingling.
