First Photos---Ever!

I've always loved photography---but more as a spectator than anything. But now, in my photography class, I'm learning about it, and I want to share some photos that were part of my first assignment. I know they're not mind-blowing, but I want to share with you all.









Yeah, so here are a few. :] Oh, and for anyone who's interested two photos were taken with a Kodak z740 7.1 megapixel camera (I know it's a pretty standard point-and-shoot, but I'm just starting out), and the other two were taken with a Nikon 885 3.1 megapixel camera.

Alright, I would have to start this review by telling you that I know absolutely nothing concerning photography, hahah. However, these pictures are really good. The one with the Maine license plate is my personal favorite.

First things first, I love your photographing style!
Second things, my opinion doesn't count that much- i'm only a amatuer photgrapher!
But anyway, I will give you a review

1- There is some nice composition in this photo, and you have taken it from a nice angle. I think black and white works nicely, but I would also like to see the photo in colour
This could be made REALLY amazing if taken with a very HD camera, so we can see every aspect of the objects.
But this photo is very interesting and original. I like it alot!

2-To be very honest with you, this photo didnt grab me at first. Its a brick wall.
However, you HAVE caught the texture of the bricks nicely, and black and white definitely works here.
A small suggestion would be to get an interesting object in the corner of the photo, so it has a feature for the eye to go to.
Otherwise, it is just a brick wall.
OH and plus, try and make it straight

3-This is a really beautiful photo!
You've got lovely composition, and an original angle. I love the birds up in the sky!
The way the branches are bare gives it anotehr deepness, somehow...
I like the kind of old effect you've got on it, it makes it look very antiquey and authentic feel.
This is my favourite photo of yours!

4- Once again, this is photo have lovely composition. The stairs take you up the building, and through the picture which is very nice. I love these rackety stairs, with their peeling paint and general unstableness!
Their is also great texture and shadow balance in this photo, and black and white looks awesome too!
The whole photo gives quite a desolate feel, which I like! xD
I am intruiged by this phto and think you should take more photo's of these stairs, from different angles


Overall, you have very clear potential, and keep snapping these photos!

Not a huge critique coming but, I really really like these photos! I almost can't believe that these were taken with the point and shoot camera you described but I guess it goes to show, that it does not matter what camera you have as long as there is talent in the photographer. The birds flying from the tree is my favorite and I love the high contrast in this, usually I have to be wary of too much contrast but here it just works. The last photo too is composed really well and the shapes in it are really interesting. Awesome photos, and I would love to see some more soon!

Heya Spork! Hope here for quick review before I head out to the dentist's (bleh).

1- Okay so this one is okay, not great, but not horrible either. The thing about it is there's no real focal point, there's just too much stuff in the picture and none of it really has any feeling behind it. They just seem lie randomly thrown together pieces.

2-This is about as interesting as a brick wall. The texture is awesome, I love the way the lighting is, but there's just nothing eye catching about this. Maybe if there was something written on the wall, or a hole through it or something different from the repetitive brick pattern.

3-This one I love. Flat out adore it. The contrast between the black and white, the placement of the birds, and the tree branches. Fabulous.

4- This one is good too, the only thing is it doesn't WOW me. Like it's an interesting picture, but I'd lie to see the twistyness of the stairs, show me their inner beauty, what makes them special? Try experimenting with different angles and focus.
