Sorry it's so big! It wouldn't let me shrink it....

(I know the lines of the wings are a little wobbly)

Well, this took 30 min to sketch, 1 hour to colour and about 20 min to edit. Enjoy. :)

GoaGreena,

Need I say anything? This is just pure awesomeness! You really captured the emotion very well. The only little nitpick I can think of is where the wings connect to the body. I would imagine that they should connect higher up, taking up less of the back. But that's just my personal opinion. Considering that this is a fictionally-based (Is 'fictionally' even a word..?), I think it's okay to draw it however you wish.

Keep up the amazing work!

Huh, it actually does look like a CD cover. I'm going to tell my friend that I want to try creating her band logo and possibly first CD cover. :)

Thanks for commenting!

Nice, not bad but i do have some but very few issues.
1. It looks over processed . Yes, i know I'm being nit picky but I don't partially like this. The editing creates a blurry look. For something like this to have emotion you need strong lines not just fuzzy ones.

2. Although it seems generally well proportioned the way the calf and the thigh meet seems unrealistic. Also the ankle looks weird,a rather sharp transition from leg to foot which does not. I must congratulate you on the rest though. Very good. :D

3. Also more definition and shadowing is needed although i to like the blue shine on the body.

4. Also it seems generally 2D, although the background is nice there is no foreground and the lack of shadow doesn't help.

5. it is also hard to tell the winds apart. more shadow, tone and definition are needed.

These are just my opinions, so if you like how it is don't bother changing it. Good work.

This is the second time I've ever drawn a human form. Also, I can't add shadow, I only have a certain amount of markers.
Oh and I liked the blur, it looked awful with out it. Trust me on that one.

I think it looks pretty good, though the blurry lines rather messed up my impression as well. Otherwise, a bang up job! Kudos to you ;)

P.S.- This is coming from a guy who can't draw humans to save his life xD

Hi there :)
Overall, I think you did a very nice job with drawing the human, I know that porportions can be really tough, and I think you did a good job with it. Also, the water and that purple-blue effect you have going down at the bottom is very pretty. The words kind of obscure it, but I noticed it. Still, you might want to change the font to something smaller. Just my opinion.
Also, I thought the coloring of the wings could've been a lot smoother. Try to make your lines as clean and fast as you possibly can, and those long lines will come out looking effortless.
Besides that, not bad at all :) Try to use more colors and shading to really make your drawings come to life and look less 2-dimensional. Unique colors can really help something stand out.
Hope I helped!
Have an awesome day :)

I wish I could have made the lines smoother but I drew this with marker, scanned it onto my PC than edited it using GIMP. The lines could not be smoother, as I have no tablet and I couldn't make it steady enough with the little mouse pad on my netbook. This was the best I could do.

And yes human anatomy is HARD and this is the second time I've EVER drawn what resembles something part-human. Keep in mind, though, this is a work of fantasy so technically it can look however I want it to. I know the words should be smaller, though. I kinda messed that up.

Oh well, better luck next time. I'll try and fix those things. Thank you for your opinions. :)
I love feedback.

I love this! :) I especially adore the waterfall looking thing (I'm not entirely sure what it's called) at the bottom; the colors there are beautiful. I do understand that this was the best you could do with the tools you had, but I do feel like the overly blurry lines ruined this a tad for me. Don't get me wrong, I still love it. I just think that it would have been a lot more beautiful if the lines weren't as blurry, just a little bit sharper. Overall, a really nice job here! Keep 'em coming! :)

I may have to check out this whole digital art concept... :/

ANYWAY! It looks good. I noticed you commented on how the wings are a little off-kilter, that the lines are wobbly... DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT. No line is truly straight, not even in real life. Do not try to make it perfect, because then it would be contradictory to realism. I do like the colors and your shading, it really helps us to understand what the words truly mean, at the heart.

I can't say too much else, because this isn't something I'm familiar with. But good job!
