Here's a pic I took out in my garden. I love standing there, my fav place, I love water, I get ideas for writing when I'm near or in Water.

Well, that IS the significant... though he should probably cut it since it's damaged... I still love guys with long hair...

*sighs dreamily*...

I can't believe I got so lucky...

Emma wrote:I do get feed! Its just my body burns my fat quicker than most people, so Im kinda lucky as I've always been thin. I called my sis chubby because she's larger than most kids her age and unluckly her body doesn't burn the fat as quickly as she wants to. And some people are even thinner than me, so of course Im jealous.

Im sorry if I brag.

You're jealous of people thinner then you?

...hold onto your seats, ladies and gentlemen...

[rant]I am so f*cking sick and tired of chicks that are PERFECTLY healthy saying that they're "chubby" or "overweight" when they're NOT. You know what? The only people that want a STICK are Hollywood and those jerks with the bumpers stickers on their sports cars saying "no fat chicks". REAL MEN LIKE CURVES. I, personally, being bisexual, would MUCH prefer a woman that had some thickness to her then someone stick thin. You want to look like a holocaust victim? You're a f*cking moron. The media is poisoning the image of what REAL WOMEN look like. I know that I'm overweight (have lost a significant amount since the beginning of January, thank you very much), but realistically I'm a very full-figured woman. I have Size E breasts (bigger then a DD, ladies and gents), my hips (past the fat) are wider then my boobs. My waist is tiny. If I was to get down to what the media tells me I should be (somwhere around 130, I'm 200-something right now), I'd look starved. I would look WRONG. Because I'm SUPPOSED to have those curves and NO MATTER WHAT people say I'm SUPPOSED TO look like, I'm always going to have those curves unless I get some MAJOR surgery. Personally, I'm going for 160. I'm not uncomfortable with my weight as it is, and the only reason I'm loosing it is for health reasons. But I am SO SICK AND TIRED of hearing a woman complain about how she looks when there is NOTHING WRONG WITH HER.[/rant]

....

there you go.
I'm not even angry... I'm being so sincere right now.
Even though you broke my heart.
And killed me... And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.

tessitore, i fully agree with you. i hate when girls are always pointing out their "fat" and even worse, criticizing other girls figures. but what has really started to bother me is when people say things to me like, "wow, lara, you look really skinny!" as if its a compliment like "you look really pretty" or something. or "wow, you lost weight, you look good!" as if i looked bad before?? the thing of it is, i lost about thirty pounds, and not on purpose. i could probably stand to gain at least half of that back. i think i looked better before, and i have no idea how to respond to comments like that. with a thank you or something?
anyway. youre right. bodies are better when they have some substance to them

God, yeah, I'm hearing that all the time now. A lot of, "Dee, this is the best I've seen you in years!!" and "Wow! You're looking really nice!"

Growl! In the last year I've lost about fifteen-twenty pounds and people are all, "You're so amazing"... and all I want to say is, "Oh? And I wasn't amazing when I comforted you as you cried on my shoulder because your parents were getting a divorce? Thanks a lot."

....

What I cannot believe is that I'm five foot eight inches and I have a lot of people telling me I need to be between 115-130 pounds. Hello? I'd look so horrid! Yeah, a girl with a totally flat frame would be able to pull that off at my height, but I have a FULL FIGURE... boobs, hips and butt, thanks a bundle. My thighs are always going to be a little thicker then people like to show on T.V. and I just DO NOT care.

Actually, when I get down to around 160 I look a lot like Marilyn Manroe except with freckles and dark hair.

Okay, okay!

I didn't mean to offence you! So I was wrong, really I don't think weight is a problem (only for those BIG headed ppl) And you can all be different sizes. Its who we are. Some people have problems with their weights if they are thin or not. You can't just rant and rave about someone who is thinner than you and goes on about they are fat. Luckly with people who have fat on them keep warm. (lucky them). Im just one of them selfish people (from your point of view) Who thinks they are fat, who is actullay thin.

And by the way, its not my fault I go on about ME being fat, its because of those bloody glamour models! Thinking they are soooo perfect with their ultra thin bodies. I personally think (honestly. swear on my life) We should have people who are not JUST thin, but are slim too.

And P.s.... NO ONE IS FAT!!! ITS JUST A WORD FOR OUR BODY'S BLUBBER THINGY MIGJIG. LOOK AT US, WE'RE HUMAN.

Im really sorry, you were upset from my selfishness and I hope you can forgive this unable to spell child (me).

Sorry

I agree that society places too much emphasis on thinness as beauty, but don't forget that some people -are- naturally that thin and don't starve themselves to be that way, and its no more fair to criticize them than it is to make snide remarks about someone who's overweight. yeah, just playing devil's advocate again.

Society does place too much of an emphasis based on dubious evidence that fit equals thin and that thin equals beauty, but lets keep the discussion civil.

The thing is that people tend to find slimmer people more attractive. However, I will agree that I think girls look better if they have a little softness around them, you know what I mean? None of this skin and bones stuff...

I'm overweight too. I wish I was more like Tessitore, who, unlike me, actually has some self-confidence.

I'll let you all decide if my wacky self-esteem issues have any justification in this pic. I kinda cropped it so it's just a headshot and actually looks decent. Since there's a ton of whie space I don't know how to get rid of, here's the url.

THANK YOU! That was a truly inspiring speech. I actually weigh your goal weight.. But I'm a bit shorter (by about four inches) and I want to get down to 150. *shrugs* I'm happy with whatever though. Weight should NOT be an issue. If I'm loved for who I am (this is SO cliche!) then that's all that matters. To me, anyway. I have a bunch of friends, so apparently my weight doesn't matter to them.. What makes me think it should matter to anyone, then?

What I found really funny was that when I went camping (which is when the pics of me sitting in the chair and sleeping were taken) my aunt greeted me and said I lost some weight and looked good. If anything, I had GAINED weight lol!

Ok I'm too tired to hold a logical conversation so I'm gonna go..

I love your garden btw, Tara! :D

you guys are wrong!!!!!!!!
SO TOTALLY WRONG!
I dunno why but that "inspiring speech" almost made me cry. I'm 5'2 and ALMOST 120, and I've been dieting for WEEKS! And yes people, prepare yourselves, I DID starve myself and I DID make myself throw up this summer because I have such a low self esteem that I had to do that! And it only made it get worse and worse, so that pretty soon I hated myself! I wish that I could get counseling but YEAH RIGHT. The counselor knows my dad and anyway what could she do! When I'm 110 I'll be happy. And I have EVERY RIGHT to think I'm fat, regardless. All girls think they're fat. I'm sorry that some people are overweight, but that's not my problem. deal with it, because I am too!
