They're humans, dear. Not everyone has a Duranni's sense of balance.~Una

Oh.~Kalli

"Better than a lot of people, certainly. Worse than a lot more, though." ~Danteel

"Depends what you mean by 'better.' In terms of birth/breeding I have both the best and the worst of it on this planet. In terms of power, well, I am a slave but I'm more influential than half the free men in the Capitol. But in terms of simple, genuine goodness....no. I'm not better than everyone else." ~K'ratcha

Hektor in The Iliad by Homer. Everyone worships Achilles, for he was Greek and a demi-God, but Hektor to me always seemed more honourable, more brave, for facing what he thought was Achilles and knowing he would die doing so. - Xanthos, The Sky So Deeply Red

Who are your parents, and what do they do?

I did once hit that dumbass prince with my favorite metal pipe because he was being a big prinny and refused to get his hands dirty and do some work. I think that's about it.~Ket

It tends to be the other way round. I have pretty pale skin and at the moment no hair. Clio used to give grief over it, saying that I'd never done a hard day's work in my life else my skin would be tanned. Ket hit him for me with her good old pipe, I know she gets alot of problems too, her being pretty much the only female mechanic in the whole of the belly and all. ~Verger
