The scientist peaked through the curtain and servayed the large crowd. "Good," He mumbled with pleasure; with all of the people, the auction aught to go well.
At that moment, the man on stage finished his speech and stated, "And now, without further ado, Dr. James R. Cane!" That was his que. James smiled behind the curtain and straightened his white coat; this was it. Beside him a small child -about ten years of age- stood quietly and obediently at his elbow. Snatching the child's metallic arm, the doctor ordered it to follow him, and then marched proudly on stage, sure that the kid would do as it was told.
Loud applause welcomed the scientist and his prodigy as they both entered. All eyes were trained on the man as he leaned forward, into the microphone. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the world's most brilliant robot! I have confidence in announcing that this child before you is, in fact, the best." Doctor James gestured to the child, and the audience, once again, cheered loudly. "Smile," the man mumbled the order out of the side of his mouth. And the child did what it was told; just like it had done for every other command in its life.

Mechanoids~
Mechanoids; part human, part robot. They were once fully human, until a group of scientists stole them away -when they were very young- and experimented, rearranged, and toyed with them until they were something completely different.
The scientists' idea was to make the smartest robots on the face of the earth. Everyone knows that the human being is the most intelligent creature on the planet; add a couple of super powered, mechanical parts and you have yourselves an incredible being. Of course, there's always the problem that the creation will be smart enough to question its orders. So, Doctor James R. Cane invented the obedience chip. It's a chip that is plugged into the Mechanoids' brain that forces them to obey every command given them.
It took many years, much money, and many deaths of children for the scientist to reach success, but victory was finally theirs. They had created the worlds most successful robot.
Each Mechanoid takes about four years to be completed.
When the scientists add a robotic part to the child's body, there needs to be a constant supply of oil, and a connection to the brain, to keep it going. Thus the scientists add many wires from the brain to the robotic part; also oil flows in the blood. Oil replaces water in every part of the body; they cry oil, they sweat oil, they bleed oil.
All Mechanoids are created differently, and for different purposes. Some military serving ones might have rocket-boots for feet, or a machine-gun hand. Whereas house keeping ones would have dusters-and-rags popping out of their hands, or a microwave stomach ( XD idk). There are many different kinds.
Although every Mechandoid is unique, they all have some basics: They all have oil pumping through there vanes, an obedience chip, wires that connect their brain to their robotic parts, they are all magnetic, and they have a serial number tattooed on their left shoulder.
But, even with all of the great things, the Mechanoids have some defects: with all of the oil in them, they are extremely flammable, and they conflict to water. Nothing is perfect.
Another scene of the past (but closer to the present)~
***********************************************************************************************************
Dr. James sat at his desk and rubbed his temples; things were not going as planned. A small knock at the door allowed him to sigh, "come in."
The handle turned and the door opened to another man in a white coat; a college named Dr. Wyhit. "China denied?" the man asked, hoping that his information was incorrect.
But the doctor in the chair nodded his head. "China, Russia, The White House, and all rest, the only one we haven't heard from is Australia. No one will take them." The two gentlemen were discussing the sales of, what they once thought, their greatest achievement: the Mechanoids. Everyone was excited for awhile, and some of the robots even sold, but now the sales had decreased to zero. It had taken very much money for the scientist to create the robots, and even more to perfect them, with the addition to the coasts of the oil that the Mechanoids needed to be supplied with everyday; the scientist were broke and needed to sell their merchandise, but no one was buying.
Dr. Wyhit sighed, "James, we've lost money, lots of it. And we're losing more everyday. If we keep up this way, we won't have enough money to continue with our other experiments; we'll have to shut down the lab. We need to sell Mechanoids or ditch them."
But James wasn't so willing to give up his dream, "If we just do some tweaking, give them some up-dates, surely they'll sell. People will buy them--"
"James."
The scientist looked away and sighed. Just then, the phone on his desk started to ring, the name on the computer flashed 'The Government of Australia'. The doctor lunged for the phone and pressed it against his ear. "Hello?"
The man standing watched his friend's face as he listened to the phone; it went from hopeful, to unbelief, to discouragement. Finally with a quiet, "Yes. Thank you. Good day," he hung up and turned to him. Shoulders slumped, he said with regret, "Ok, unplug them."
***********************************************************************************************************
With those orders, all of the Mechanoids were detached of their obedience chip, put in a box, and thrown away. When the scientist unplugged them from their chip, the expected them to die, -and most of them did- but the stronger, more humanoid ones survived. (note: Although, the striping of their chip did erase some of their memory. They still have some feelings and some deja vo's of their past, but real, solid memory is gone.)
So, the survivors wake up to find themselves dumped in one of America's largest junkyard.
Plot~
You're a Mechanoid. You wake up to find yourself in a junkyard in New York. You and your remaining 'family' have to find a way to survive in the outside world; trying to fit in with the rest of the people and worrying about your next meal.
You dress yourself in the clothes that you find in trash bags around the junk yard; build yourself a club house out of random pieces of junk; and eat from a nearby gas-station. Maybe you'll have to go to school and pretend you're a normal kid. But after a while, your old boss notices you. He sees how well you've done on your own, how well you've survived, and he wants you back, and he won't stop at anything to get you... (I'll just leave that hanging there. As of it probably won't happen for a while).
Profile~ (please do NOT include the words in parentheses)
Spoiler
Name/Number: (What is your serial number? Also, keep in mind that you more then likely named yourself.)
Age: (5-16)
Robotic parts: (I have a couple rules/guidelines for this slot: One, you can only have up to two added robotic parts; and they can't all be super awesome. Try to make at least one thing lesser, seemingly meaningless; leave some of the good stuff for everyone else. Two, be creative! Try not to copy someone else's ideas.)
Appearance: (Written AND picture. Both! )
Personalities: (Please try to include likes/dislikes and strengths/weaknesses)
Up for love: (Self-explanatory)
Other: (Randomness about your character)

Rules~ (don't we all just love rules?)
Spoiler
1. All YWS rules
2. You can have up to two characters
3. *sighs* cussing is allowed, but don't make it a second language.
4. Obviously, romance is allowed (what would a SB be like without it?) But no sex and keep it straight.
5. Make sure you're keeping an eye on the DT.
6. Tomato is a vegetable!
7. Follow the DT, please. That's where we'll be discussing our plot and such. (there's a link below)
8. Be unique. That means if someone else has a chick with lazer gaze don't make a character with lazer gaze.
9. Be creative! I can not stress this enough. If you must ignore all of the rules but one, follow this one. (not literary, follow all of the rules. Except maybe number six...)
