My skin is stretched so thin
that people look straight through me.

I have not light enough, nor strength enough,
nor fixédness enough to shine;
therefore I must
like a moth outside the window
be forever locked and barred

within the night.
Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it. (C D Morley)

I don't usually critique(sp?) but I liked this. It was nice and short.

My favourite part is:

I have not light enough, nor strength enough,
nor fixédness enough to shine;
therefore I must
like a moth outside the window
be forever locked and barred

This is my first ever critique so please forgive any ignorance or error on my part.

I really enjoyed this poem, it is incredibly descriptive and you captured the meaning beautifully. Good work!
