I absolutely love this movie! I decided to draw the main character. Since the colors faded a little bit when it was scanned I filled in her skin color on the computer. This is the link to my reference image: http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak ... 4953_a.jpg

Enjoy! :)

I love Anastasia too!!! I can't believe I found someone other than my sister who likes this movie! Your drawing is very accurate, by the way :)

It's very good, maybe I'll watch the movie. Her basic facial expression doesn't match the picture, she looks more questioning in the picture, and less menacing. In your drawing, she looks angry. Maybe you could have done her top lip differently? Good job though, drawing's hard!

I adore this movie greatly and was completely heart broken when I learned the truth. Brace yourself kiddo...Anastasia never escaped the siege. The girl who claimed to be her was her dresser, about Anya's age and looked like her. She was so traumatized she awoke thinking she was Anastasia. Anya actually died with her family after watching all of them get shot, she fainted. She awoke hours later and screamed (stupid of her) and a guard came in and stabbed her. Well her jewels on her gown blocked the stab and she survived, only to be shot (i think) later on. Even her brother lived as they were wheeling the bodies out. They had a cloth over them and he just sat up and screamed, only to fall back to his death :( I cried when I learned this (like 3 years ago maybe).

Thank you guy's for the advice. I'll try to make the colors more vivid next time and work on the facial details. Victorianlolita, yes I heard about her death. It made me so sad too! I was watching the movie again with my friends and one of them said that she actually didn't escape. I was so upset. Everytime we talk about what truly happened to her I always change the subject and start talking about the movie. I'll probably be crying during my world history Russian revolution unit! :'(. Thank you for the comments guys! :D

TWIZZYYY!!!! XD

So, I thought the colors were gonna be like... black and white, but they're actually way more vivid than I thought... WOO!
Yeah, Twiz sorry I broke the news... I thought you knew XD
I like it alot! It caoptures her essence of anger XDD

Victorialolian - I read that she was shot with the rest of her family. But she and her sisters survived the first round of shooting because of the jewels their mother had sewn in their clothes to hide from the guards in case they were released from custody. But on the second round of shooting, they were killed. They thought that Anatasia, or maybe her sister Maria and their brother Alexi lived because they didn't find their remains with the rest of the family, but later they found remains that were either Maria or Anatasia, disproving the theory. I could be wrong though, an interesting thought :)

Wow, what a lovely piece.
I love the colouring and I thought it was very well drawn. Was it by hand or a computer program?
However, I do think you could of used more emotion on her face a little.
Though a very nice piece and bringing back some happy memories, haha.
Well done!

I loved your drawing especially the red hair of Anastasia, you have drawn it pretty well. However, you should work on the shirt more because the yellow color seem to make the picture look paler.

Dear Twilightzoner85,

Your picture is pretty good! Even I like Anastasia a lot. I have a book about it, but lets not get into the details. Your picture is pretty good, but it has a few teensy problems. I miraculously found out only four.

They are:

1: In the movie and in the reference picture that you posted the link about, Anastasia looks like she slightly puzzled. But in the picture that you have drawn, I can see that Anastasia looks almost angry.

2: As I have explained earlier in my other point, you will have to make her look slightly puzzled. Try to change her right eyebrow. Lift it a little and curve it inside. Then it might just look like the reference picture from the link.

3: Change the lips too. Make them more like the reference picture and less like the current one. Especially the bottom lip.

4: Her teeth look slightly strange.

I hope you see that my points are correct. Try and look at both of them and find out if they are okay. Don't take my comment as if I am making fun of your picture or anything.

Good luck for anymore picture that you might be drawing (seriously, practice more drawing, you will seriously become better, I am serious . . . at least it worked for me, it has to work for you too, doesn't it? Even good artists should practice. I am not saying it as a bad thing!)

Regards,
Nova
