So this is the sketch of the main character for my upcoming novel, Serenity's Lore.
She's the apprentice of a wizard, incase you're interested.[This is the first time ever that I've drawn a girl so dont be too critical ) Enjoy! [EDITED]

Okay, I'm no expert, so take this review with a pinch of salt.
This is a really good drawing. Far better than I could ever do. I congratulate you. I like how you got the texture of the hair just rght, and I also like the swirligig thing. The harmonica on the table was niftily done, as well.
However, she seems to be leaning back a little too much, or was that the intention? Her nose comes out a little too sharply, or, again, maybe that was the intention? I have no idea.
This is good, and I'm interested in your novel as well. Serenity's Lore is a better title than my White Demons, anyway!
I've learned so much from people who never existed - Unknown
So, I don't really know much about reviewing sketches, but I love to draw, so I'll give my opinion.
I love the way the hair is flowing down towards her back, but I'm not a huge fan of the way it is on her head. I think it should be a little softer, unless your character tends to have messy hair.
The way her chin, neck, and mouth are make her look like she's looking at the item in disgust or surprise rather than interest or awe (which is what I'm assuming you're going for, but I don't know), so maybe make her chin come out from her neck more.
Since you're a guy, I won't go into too much detail about her boobs, but I have to say they don't look very realistic. I might be prejudiced to my own boobs though. No further comment.
At first I thought her arm was bare, and she just had some intense, pointy triceps, but now I realize that she's wearing a shirt. So maybe you should work on the folds to make it look more like a shirt. I can't help you much there, though, because I was always bad at folds and shading.
Lastly, I feel that her body is too straight and boy-ish, so unless she's supposed to be like that, try making her... curvier. I don't just mean like boobs and hips. A girl's back is curved, her shoulders are curved, her hands are curved (but you did a great job with the hands!).
I know you said not to be too critical, but I don't think I was :p This was also my first review of art, so I don't know if I did it right. Hope I helped!
Keep drawing (and writing ), good luck, and PM me if you have any questions!
We've stayed until the very end. This is real for us.
Hey, thanks for the comments! It's not that she doesn't have round features, but her shirt is raggy. She's a witch so that's the explanation for the hair ^^.I suppose I must make some changes, I can't deny your points you've got there. I'll be writing the first paragraph in a week or so?
