Oooh, Project 365!

Hello! Well, on the first of January, I decided (with a few friends), that I would do a Project 365 on Flickr - taking a photo every day for a year. I'm on day four now, and I intend on posting my photos here once a week (so a thread with 7 photos in it?). However, I just kinda wanted to let everyone know that I'm doing it, so they know why I'm clogging up the photography forum
Below are day 1, 2 and 3's pictures.

Day one was really rushed. I was given 11 minutes to take a picture of something, edit and upload. None the less... I failed with that target, but eventually got it up.




Day two was less rushed. I went for some very different focusing, by using manual focus, as I wanted a new twist on a ukulele.




Day three was a last resort. Other ideas I had just hadn't clicked together, but this one, in a way did.

I've commented on the other ones on flickr, so I'm just going to focus on the first one in this review, if you don't mind.

I really like the bokeh, and colors are simply wonderful. The DOF was very nice too- very gradual, which is hard to pull off. My only problem is that, well, I didn't really find it that interesting. It's a good macro, yes, but it doesn't hold my interest very well. The execution is wonderful and simply spot on, but I find the concept itself a little lacking. Sorry.
And I know that you barely had any time, so... yeah.

Nice job on all of them though!

Wow. 1st one is wallpaper'd. I really like the mass of colours in the picture, and how the depth gradually decreases. The picture is picture perfect xD. And tacks? You took something so ordinary and unnoticed and turned it into art. That takes talent.
2nd well I am a guitar player , so I am so excited to see such a good picture of something I love. I love the contrast between the blue of the background and white of the guitar. Very nice composition and lighting.
Good luck with the project , even though you don't really need it because you have a little thing I call TALENT!

These are very good, even being rushed

1. This one is focused well, and you don't have an unnessecary background. The colors are very bright, and there aren't any spaces. I like it, but it's also a little boring. You look at it and say, "that's it?"

2. I like the blue sparkles in the background and how the colors look together. It's hard to tell if the end of the guitar is obscured on purpose or by accident. The guitar could've been a little closer to the camera, in my opinion.

3. good job focusing the camera. You could've moved the jar the teeniest bit closer to the middle, because I have the urge to tilt my computer to try to see 'the rest'. MAybe a bit too much red, but I like the Idea.

Yeah, I'm harsh. They're good though, and I hope you stick with it!
