Hello ! I haven't submitted anything in awhile, so i thought i may as well. Now, my camera isn't very good, and its slowly dying on me. I'm getting a new one soon, hopefully. *fingers crossed* I'm not professional, i take photos just for the fun of it. So tell me what you think, but don't be too harsh, please. :D

#1- At the beach. I've had a few people comment on the angle of this photo. I actually liked it that way, it was meant to look like that. Just to look at it, you dont have to tilt your head. But, obviously, it was the wrong angle choice. Also, i did t edit it. The colours you see in all these photos are how i took them.

#2 - I'm not too sure if i like this one. But, i had a better version of this Lake, but i can't find it. The reason it is blurry down the bottom is because i took it in the car. This photo really doesn't do the lake any justice. Its beautiful.

#3 - A flower out in the garden. Not too sure about this one, either. What do you think?

Image

#4 - This is just random.

Image

#5 - This photo was just in my nana's garden, so i took a picture.

Hope you liked, at least, a few of these.

The last picture was meant to say above it, "This flower was just in my nana's garden, so i took a picture." xD
Don't know what i was thinking. Blonde moment. haha.

Hello there, borntoshop! I hope your day is going just swell.

Aha! I love how you ask for no particularly harsh reviews. So, I will try hard not to be too harsh. :P

Alright, to begin the review, let's talk about the first photograph. You chose a very unique angle with this photo, kind of sideways and tilted. However, I feel like the execution of this angle was not good -- the photo looks sloppy, and I do most definitely not like how I have to tilt my head to view it properly. Also, to the slight left of the top righthand corner, there is a huge spot in the sky where it's just blown-out from the sun/flash, and it's not pretty.

The second photo is much better, but it still does have a few flaws. Nothing is perfect, after all. First of all, the photo is slightly blurry at the bottom of the photo, kind of streaky-like, almost as if your camera slightly slipped when you were taking the photo. That would explain the slight tilt to the right that the photo has -- it's no straight-on and centered, and I don't like that. However, I will praise you for the brilliant greens and browns in this photo.

The third photograph is one of my favorites out of this bunch. As much as I don't like the angle because of the green leaf in the way of a full view of the pretty pink flower, I truly like the colors of the photo. The focus is well done, and the photo is vivid without being too over-edited and contrast-y.

I do not like the fourth photo at all. The leaves on the plant are much too bright, and have a glare from the sun. Also, I don't quite like how the viewpoint is the people walking, because they don't seem too interesting to me, personally. There is also no set focus -- sure, I know it's supposed to be the people, but my eyes wandered everywhere before settling on them.

The final photo is interesting, to say the least. I have never seen a flower like the one in the photo. The focus is nice, too, so bravo on that. I enjoy the bright colors of the flower, because it makes the photo stand out. Like in the third photograph, the colors are vivid without being too overwhelming.

Overall, you have some potential, a decent camera, and just have to work on your execution. Practice different angles and play around with different styles of photography. I hope this review helps! PM me if you need any further help/info or just want to talk about photography.

Hello!
I'll try not to be too harsh :P
Anyway,
1. Okay, this is a fantastic location. The mood is really kind of, dark and mysterious? I like that. Most beach photos are like, blue sea... yellow sand... blah. It gets boring after a while. This is fresh and innovative. However, I really dislike the angle. It doesn't really work.
2. This is a decent photo. The focus is a little off, and the main focal point is kind of hidden away behind the bushes. Nice mountains though.
3. Decent colour, focusing is okay...
4. Least favourite. A little boring and pointless.
5. Nice details and focusing.

Overall:
I can't give you a proper review because you've asked not to be harshly critiqued. This makes it very difficult for anyone to actually give you help, as you have to make everything sound better than it is.
Truthfully, these photos aren't all that exciting. There are glimpses of photography genius, but this is often overshadowed by the wrong choice in angles, and poor framing.
Of course, you have mentioned about your camera, and this is probably the reason why the focus is off on some of these, and you can't be blamed for that.
Until you get your new camera, I guess try to be more creative with angles, but not so 'creative' they're like the first one.

Apologises for this being short and snappy, but I like the full rein to give everyone a balanced review :P

1) I think this shot is excellent, other than the angle. I find it altogether too distracting, and it's quite jarring what a pretty peacefully atmosphered picture. The gradient from dark to light is simply fantastic, and this was perfectly processed into B&W and everything. If it's possible, I would go back to the location and take another shot with a straight on angle- it's pretty hard to redo the angle of a photo through processing.

2. Nice colors and scenery, but I feel like you could have had a better focus and a better defined focal point.

3. Nice macro- I feel like the focus could have been better, but I really like the shot itself and the point of focus as well as the DOF, even if it could be clearer. Nice colors and positioning.

4. Not crazy about this one- nicely defined focal point, but I didn't really find the shot itself that interesting.

5. This one is nice. The focus seems clear, and I like the flower on the right that's out of focus. I think that you could process this one a bit, maybe play with the colors/contrast. Nice job.

Overall: I think you definitely have some potential. Work on focus and focal points, and you'll do really, really well. Looking forward to seeing more from you. :)

1. The angle's a little irritating, but the rocks are good looking! I think those are waves in the background to, a very good picture.

2. yeah, it's blurry, but I love water pictures! There's a little much to look at, and it's a little distracting. If you could have taken any picture of that, I thing you should have gotten closer and taken it from higher up.

3. The flower's beautiful. The tip's a little blurry, but otherwise you have a good picture, but flowers have been done before, a lot. Try to find another subject. Good colors though, It's a wonderful picture.

4. There's something in the bottom right bugging me. There's a lot to look at in this picture, but not much to focus on. The people are a little far away and the colors a bit dull. I love the angle though.

5. Another beautiful flower! the two things hanging down from above are kind of unnesecary, but the flower really sticks out! I wish I had a camera to take pictures with! well, I do, but it's old and has bad color quality.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
