Allow me to take this oppurtunity...

Hey there. I'm Catri, as you can see. Most people call me Cat but the name was already taken up as a username, so I couldn't use it. My nickname - just to bore you - came from one of my pieces of work that I was writing around the time my friend started her blog. She stole the name Catriana from my story for her blog and ever since, my nickname has been just that - Cat. At least, it has been so among my closer friends.

I've only ever really completed two stories and I was around seven at the time. One was a fanfiction for The Babysitter's club and the other was about a stolen gold locket that held the fate of an unsuspecting teenage girl. I hit a bad time when I decided to stop writing and deleted all the works I've ever written, including them two unfortunately. However, I'm attempting to complete the story about Cat, which is an on-going progress for around three years now as I tend to take pauses when school takes it's toll and stuff.

Other than writing, I spend my time:

Reading - surely every writer enjoys to read? Well, I do, anyway and many of my fellow writing friends do as well. My English Teacher once said that one book can teach you more than anybody in our school can over your whole lifetime. I'm not sure whether that was just a knock at the teaching standards though. I'm a Harry Potter and Twilight Fan but I also love the Morganville Vampires, Vampire Academy, Hush Hush and a book called Me and Emma. I love a variety of books but the 'Fantasy' - or 'Paranormal,' whichever way you look at it - is my favourite genre.

Playing Guitar - I love music and that... is a fact. I play the Guitar and I sing but I can't say I'm very good at either, if I'm perfectly honest. I have no idea why my Music Teacher wishes for me to study it next year but that's another story for another day.

Roleplaying - I'm a vaulter. My friend introduced me to a site called Vault 713 and I regularly post there, as varying characters. I have 17 of them. It's been a great experience for me, as it has allowed me to socialise with different people throughout the world and I believe my writing has grown in ways I'd never thought were even possible.

Cadets - I'm an Air Cadet, meaning I get to go to camps and stuff. I've learnt the basics behind planes and Air Recognition and I'm looking at doing D of E, next year. I've also learnt to fly a plane, which has to be the most exhilirating thing I've ever done in my entire life. I cannot put into words how great the feeling of being free was. The view was beautiful. I wished other people could see what I had seen that day.

Drama/Public Speaking - I've entered many public speaking competitions. For the past 2 years, I have come 1st and 2nd in every competition I have entered. It's a great way of expressing myself. I love drama too, for the exact same reason. I love the feeling of being somebody else, which sometimes comes across in my characters - both in play and in writing. I also debate a lot, particularly with my teachers, because I have an open mind and like to explore. I have currently got the role of the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland

I spend time doing different things as well, obviously but I've decided that I won't bore you any longer. And hopefully, I'll come up with a way of getting around this site... Happy Writing!

And what a welcome post! I feel like I know you some already, which is very neat indeed. Air Cadet, you say? That's pretty awesome. As is the playing of guitar and the interesting in drama. You've certainly got your artistic bases covered.

Yes, I'm an Air Cadet. I really love it. Drama is also really cool. Very... expressive. Maybe it's because I'm a drama queen or maybe it's because I like talking... I don't know. I just know that Drama is awesome. And yes, I do like talking.

Hi psudiname! That... is a really cool name. I'd love to know where it came from one day. Aha. I reckon you'd love flying. Or maybe that's just me... Anyway, flying is so much fun. I was pretty certain I was going to die when the pilot passed control over to me but we didn't! Obviously, as I'm still here and writing this to you. Or maybe it's my ghost? Scary. No, flying is awesome. I'll never forget that feeling ever. My best day ever.

I too am a major reader- I've walked into many a pole while trying to read and walk at the same time.
I love fantasy too, but am not a huge fan of Twilight, to be perfectly honest. If you ever need any book recommendations or HAVE any book recommendations, feel free to send them my way. c:
I used to play guitar, but didn't have the patience for it when I was little- now I sing.
I'm not super good either, but I love to do it, especially because all of my friends are musical. We all kind of just bring instruments to school and start making music sometimes, which is really fun.
I also like roleplaying games, though I'm more into video games than text-based ones... it looks interesting though.
That's awesome that you know how to fly a plane! I used to be want to be a pilot because I love to travel, but after seeing all the math involved... I decided it probably wasn't the career for me.
And public speaking is always fun- it used to make me really, really nervous, and I thought I was going to pass out when I gave my first speech, but I now I kind of enjoy it.
